Description
Saison d'été seulement (mai - octobre) Cette visite est une promenade à travers le quartier victorien d'Aspen dans le West End et le long des sentiers naturels reliant la rivière Roaring Fork. L'histoire d'Aspen est dévoilée à travers les histoires derrière l'architecture victorienne et moderne et les liens d'Aspen avec son environnement naturel. La distance parcourue est d'environ 1,5 miles avec quelques changements d'altitude mineurs. Bien que la majorité de la promenade se fasse sur des surfaces pavées, il existe des chemins naturels inégaux. Les participants doivent avoir une condition physique modérée.

Dean’s love for this part of the country is infectious. I actually enjoyed this tour so much that I signed up for his ghost tour that evening, which was just as fabulous. Go!
An easy 1.5 hour walk through varied terrain: along neighborhood sidewalks, through town parks/centers and in nature areas. Dean masterfully told multiple stories at once: the history of the town (from the Ute people to silver miners, hippies and today), contemporary development and how town policies support the arts, nature and full-time year-round worker residents. It gave me a fuller appreciation of Aspen and was a great way to start my weeklong stay.

This tour was a highlight of our Colorado trip. Dean knows and shares so much of what makes Aspen so unique and special, and makes it fun at every turn!
