Pour ceux d’entre vous qui aiment explorer différentes zones dans de petites sections, et ne pas être confiné à un véhicule de safari pour de longues périodes, il vaut la peine de prévoir un peu de temps pour le parc national d’Arusha. Profitez de cette aventure d’une journée complète avec le déjeuner et les boissons optionnelles (à vos frais) qui comprend la marche, la route de gravier et un safari en canoë en option.

Votre groupe de 2 personnes minimum peut profiter d’un départ matinal de votre logement pour vous rendre aux portes du parc national d’Arusha vers 10 heures. Le trajet jusqu'au parc est court; les plantations de café et les petites villes avec une vie quotidienne trépidante vous divertiront pendant les 50 minutes qui vous séparent avant de prendre une route de gravier et de commencer à monter vers la porte du parc. Ici, un garde armé se joindra à vous avant de partir à travers les plaines ouvertes pour votre safari à pied matinal à l'ombre du mont Meru. En montant la route d’ascension du mont Meru, vous aurez une perspective intéressante sur la faune et la flore, avec de superbes panoramas sur le parc ci-dessous. Une fois redescendu à la porte, parcourez la courte distance en direction des lacs Momella pour un pique-nique (coût supplémentaire de 10 USD). Ici, vous pouvez profiter d'un safari en canoë (en option) sur le lac ou continuer avec des safaris d'après-midi à travers le parc à un rythme détendu. En fin d’après-midi, quittez le parc pour regagner votre logement.
Le mont Meru est un stratovolcan dormant situé à 70 kilomètres à l'ouest du mont Kilimandjaro dans le pays de la Tanzanie. D'une hauteur de 4 562,13 mètres, il est visible depuis le mont Kilimandjaro par temps clair et est la cinquième plus haute montagne d'Afrique, selon la définition.

This was our first of 6 safari locations spanning Arusha National Park, Tarangarire, Ngorngoro Crater, and Central Serengeti. A great introduction to Tanzania's warm culture and the beautiful animals. Our guide Julius was informative, interesting, fun, and made us feel safe the entire day. Although a little further away than we saw at the other parks, we did see giraffes, colobus monkeys, zebras, Cape Buffalo, and a hippo! Baboons were also plentiful and entertaining. Lunch overlooking the lake was very good and water through the day was plentiful.

<p>Took the tour the last day of my 1 week trip, flying out at 8:50pm, tour lasted 7:30am - 5pm, paid the tour company to drop me off at The airport at the end of the tour. Worked out perfectly. </p> <p>After a six day safari visiting Serengeti, ngorongoro, tarengeri and lake manyara, I was not expecting much. But it is beyond my expectations! The walking safari was the highlight. We were lucky to run into a family of 5 giraffes right at the start of the walking tour. It's amazing walking on soft grass grounds, 10 meters from giraffes, 50 meters from a few buffaloes, with another huge herd of buffaloes 100 meters away on the other side of a small creek, with mountain meru as the background There are also a lot of sighting of baby giraffes, in addition to flamingos lake, hippos lake, lot of monkeys. It's mostly a rain forest, very different look from the other parks. A great way to end my first safari! </p> <p>My guide was amazing. It's low season, I was the only guest in the car, just like a private tour. Highly recommended!</p>
