The tour was great and the weather was good also, if you looking for an easy hands off tour this is one of the best
Bring comfortable shoes and panchos are a must! The staff are very customer service oriented. The tour has beautiful footage/views with the staff providing an information narrative regarding both plant and animal/insect/reptile encounters.
In a single day you can visit the most important things of La Fortuna if you do not have much time, our guide William explained everything, you can see that he knows the subject. It was the greatest thing about our visit to Costa Rica, living with nature.
They took us to a crowded park, our guide kept repeating himself along the day with difficulties to speak English. The pace of the day was too slow. The hot springs were fully artificial. The lunch was along a noisy road but the food was decent. Overall average and overpriced.
Taking a tour was a great idea. Or maybe we lucked out on having a great guide - Andres Guiterrez. The tour was a walk through the Mistico hanging bridges park and arenal volcano hike tour followed by hot springs. Andres was very well informed in the local flora and fauna, talked to us about the symbiosis, lot of information on the lifecycle plus having the HD binoculars, he spotted two species of monkeys, spiders and tarantulas, two types of snakes, birds and grid and a lizard in action of scaring its predator. The rain forest is beautiful, the Arenal Volcano is majestic, and the hot springs were amazing and the lunch was good. My wife had a corn on her foot that started hurting and Andres gave her first aid. He was very patient with each member of the group. Did not rush us through the tour - actually the tour took an additional hour . Overall a great tour and definitely the best guide of all the places in the world I have visited. He is on my WhatsApp now so I can meet up with him when I visit again. Very reasonably priced and picked me up from my Airbnb and dropped off.
The tour was great and Rasta was awesome describing the history and finding animals, etc. Very informative. In the beginning they appeared to arrive late, but was more of a misunderstanding that would have been solved by a simple text explaining they needed us to be at road to be picked up since bus was unable to meet us at the lobby, but Rasta came down and got us. Be ready for a lot of walking both up and down steep walkways so wear comfortable shoes. The authentic Costa Rican lunch was great. Overall experience was great.
It is the best of the Fortune, although the weather is very humid it is very enjoyed, the al.uerzo very good too
Andres the guide who accompanied us all day made the experience excellent and very friendly. He has a very good knowledge of the fauna of flora and the history of his country. The day ends with a visit to the very relaxing hotsprings.
A complete tour passing through the mystical park where we saw several species, then a hike to achieve the best views of the Arenal volcano, to finish in a thermal bath.
Some background on me, I've been a guide and a teacher. The tour was great in some parts and not so great in other. The content was mind blowing, but the guide William was not the stuff. It's been a week and I still have no idea what went wrong during the tour to prompt a crash out at the end of the tour by the main guide. We took the volcano, waterfall, village, and hot spring tour. The views, the wildlife, the guided talks was absolutely on point. The running through the canopy, having to be completely silent during large parts of the tours, and a misrepresentation of the difficulty of the hikes loses my vote to do it again. Very clearly, as a guide/wildland first responder/wildlife photographer/avid hiker in the PNW in the US and around the world, THE WATERFALL HIKE IS NOT "MODERATE", IT IS A SEVERE TO OVER MODERATE HIKING. DO NOT DO IT IF YOU HAVE BREATHING PROBLEMS, KNEE ISSUES, OR CANT HIKE 2-3 MILES AT A SEVERE INCLINE ON THE STAIR MASTER IN A TEMPERATE CLIMATE. With the review I left on google the company blamed me for having too big of a bag for my camera, which I've gone around the world several times with and not reading the comments. No mention of the crash out or just a short, o buddy that sucks we'll do better next time. This highlights the company motto. I'm fairly certain that William is part of the family that runs the company or else I'm very jealous of his job security because I would be deeply ashamed as a guide.
