Aqueduc souterrain de la fontaine de Trevi et visite de la place Espagnole
Description
Il s'agit d'une visite à pied en petit et intime groupe de 12 personnes maximum. Nous commencerons par les marches espagnoles, où vous apprendrez tout sur elles et pourquoi on les appelle ainsi (vous serez surpris!). Par les marches espagnoles, nous rencontrerons la première fontaine de la visite. C'est ici que nous allons commencer un voyage à travers les aqueducs de Rome! En fait cette fontaine est encore alimentée aujourd'hui par un ancien aqueduc romain construit en 19BC ! De là, nous suivrons l'aqueduc qui est, pour la plupart, souterrain. Et en parcourant cet itinéraire de façon décontractée, nous trouverons des parties de l’aqueduc apparaissant entre les bâtiments modernes. Nous suivrons l'aqueduc jusqu'à sa fin monumentale: la fontaine de Trevi. Mais on ne s'arrêtera pas là. On s'éloignera de la foule, on prendra le virage et on découvrira le réservoir d'eau souterrain que les anciens Romains ont construit il y a plus de 2000 ans ! Au cours de cette visite à pied, vous ne verrez pas seulement le site spécifique, mais apprendrez également comment Rome moderne a été construite autour des ruines antiques.

C'est ici que nous nous retrouverons et commencerons notre visite ! Vous apprendrez ce qu'est la Piazza di Spagna pour les Romains aujourd'hui, ainsi que l'histoire de la façon dont elle est devenue ce qu'elle est aujourd'hui. Le côté glamour de Rome depuis l’époque romaine jusqu’à aujourd’hui. Ici, vous apprendrez également que les marches espagnoles… ne sont pas du tout espagnoles ! Vous serez surpris d'apprendre pourquoi. Nous découvrirons ensuite l'emblématique fontaine de la Barcaccia, qui est encore aujourd'hui alimentée par un ancien aqueduc romain de plus de 2000 ans ! Et c’est là que commence notre voyage à travers l’eau.

Ici, nous commencerons à voir des parties de l'aqueduc visibles au-dessus du sol, ainsi qu'une porte mystérieuse juste à côté.
C'est un grand magasin... mais nous ne sommes pas là pour faire du shopping ! Vous apprendrez que presque tout à Rome peut se transformer en musée, car la ville moderne est littéralement construite sur l'ancienne ! En fait, sous ce centre commercial, nous verrons les ruines du seul aqueduc romain antique encore en activité aujourd'hui !

Ici, vous apprendrez d'où vient toute l'eau de la fontaine de Trevi ! Nous marcherons sous terre pour explorer l'ancien réservoir d'eau de l'aqueduc construit en 19 avant JC ! Cet endroit est une véritable « lasagne » d'histoire, avec des couches de bâtiments et des maisons de personnes qui ont vécu ici à travers les siècles. Les gens comme nous aujourd'hui..

Great tour! Frederika was a wonderful guide who really made the tour come alive-it was so much fun! We got to learn how the Spanish Steps got their name and then learned all about the aquaducts. Trevi was crowded as expected, but beautiful, and seeing the underground portion was really cool.

Federica our guide was amazing . She is extremely knowledgeable in the facts about our specific tour and even though it was very hot out , she tried to make it as comfortable as possible being conscious of trying to get us in the shade as much as possible . I would book this company in a heart beat next time we out in Rome .
