C'est une excellente excursion pour ceux qui ne veulent passer qu'une demi-journée, qui manquent de temps ou qui veulent profiter d'une bonne nuit pendant leurs vacances ! Nous visitons deux zones lors de ce voyage, Daintree River et Mossman Gorge. Nous commençons par une promenade le long de la Captain Cook Highway, sur le chemin de la rivière Daintree, et partageons un peu d'histoire en cours de route. Ici, nous embarquons pour une croisière le long de la rivière Daintree, à la recherche de la faune locale, notamment le crocodile estuarien, les serpents, les oiseaux, les grenouilles, etc. Profitez d'une bière, d'un vin ou d'une boisson non alcoolisée avec une collation pendant la croisière. Après la croisière sur la faune, nous nous dirigeons vers Mossman Gorge. Une fois dans le parc national de Mossman Gorge, nous effectuons une promenade d'interprétation le long d'une promenade surélevée. En fonction de la météo, nous pouvons profiter d'un plongeon dans le ruisseau cristallin de la forêt tropicale, tout en étant entouré par la magnifique et curative forêt tropicale de Mossman Gorge. Quelle façon mémorable de passer un après-midi!

Vous embarquerez pour une croisière le long de la rivière Daintree, à la recherche de toutes sortes de créatures, notamment le crocodile estuarien, les serpents, les oiseaux, les grenouilles, etc.
Nous arrivons à Mossman Gorge et votre guide vous emmènera faire une promenade et partagera ses connaissances sur la flore et la faune locales et répondra à toutes vos questions. Il s'agit d'une marche aller-retour facile de 500 m, principalement le long de promenades. Vous pouvez profiter d'une baignade dans le ruisseau cristallin de la forêt tropicale, qui peut être assez rafraîchissant, tout en étant entouré par la magnifique et curative forêt tropicale de Mossman Gorge. Quelle belle façon de passer une matinée!

Les ramassages commencent dans le CBD de Port Douglas à partir de 12h50. Soyez prêt à l'extérieur de votre logement à ce moment-là. We saw lots of crocs and Mossman George was terrific. The information provided by the guide was great.
Brilliant, safely saw crocs in natural habitat. Cam was a very likeable guide and we also saw the beautiful river and swimming hole. Bonus is this is a half day tour so perfect use of holiday time and money. Includes a wine and snack. DO THIS ONE, you want be disappointed!

It was a nice little half day trip. Didn’t catch the driver’s name, but he was very pleasant and informative. I wish the company was more communicative about pickup time. I took a shuttle in from Cairns and had I known I would’ve been picked up after 1pm, I would’ve caught a later shuttle rather than waiting for over an hour. Regardless, the visit to the rainforest was nice and the river cruise was also nice. We saw a bunch of crocs. If you want a filler trip and only have a quick stopover in Port Douglas/Cairns, this is a good tour for it.

First off, our guide Cam was utterly infectious with his passion and knowledge about the human and natural history of the region. During the short drive to meet the boat for our river cruise he taught my partner “more than she’d ever learnt at school” about indigenous connection to country and culture in this area and contrasted this history with somewhat stereotypical idioms of received wisdom more usually disseminated on the subject. The Daintree River cruise was wonderful; leisurely, extremely entertaining, and came through on every promise with crocs up close and personal, river wisdom, and unplanned encounters with rather rare species of birds (my highlight). All done with a laconic sense of humour that kept everyone laughing and fully engaged for the whole trip through this stunning waterscape. Moving on to the Mossman Gorge I had my doubts as the boardwalk is so iconic I expected the worst kind of tourist trap. But quite the opposite. The short walk to the rapids where we swam in crystal clear and perfect temperature waters, with catfish at our feet and rainforest birds all around us, as the Golden Penda flowered prolifically all around us, was isolated in space and time. A truly wonderful experience and I would not hesitate to recommend Daintree Discovery Tours half day or full day tours to anyone visiting the region. Literally brilliant.

This is a full day of adventure! Dave is a great host and he will give you an amazing insight and knowledge about Queensland as you travel. I definitely recommend bringing bathers as you do visit a goregous place to swim in Mossman gorge if the weather conditions are right
