Cette visite, par Due South Travels, est une visite guidée de 2 heures et plus d'Antigua, l'un des sites du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. Notre Guide local vous donnera des tonnes de grandes informations, y compris l'histoire de la ville et son architecture, la géographie, la culture et la religion du Guatemala historique et moderne. Au cours de la visite, nous visiterons et discuterons des monuments importants d'Antigua. Nous parlerons des volcans et des tremblements de terre que le Guatemala a connus, des ethnies mayas, de l'invasion Espagnole, et de la vie moderne ici. Si vous souhaitez visiter les musées de jade ou en savoir plus sur les endroits où manger et boire, prendre un café, etc., demandez conseil à votre Guide !

Itinéraire
Ce circuit Due South Travels emprunte une route tranquille depuis Iglesia de la Merced, en descendant 5a Avenida, à travers Central Park. Ensuite, nous visiterons les ruines de la cathédrale et dépasser Tanque Union Park pour finir à Iglesia de San Francisco.

Architecture baroque. Point de départ à l'avant de l'église. Si vous souhaitez entrer, veuillez porter des vêtements conservateurs qui couvrent vos coudes et vos genoux, et retirer tout chapeau avant d'entrer. (Vous ne pouvez pas entrer pendant un service de masse)
Découvrez ce parc, la clinique médicale, la pila et les ruines de Santa Clara.
Nous terminerons ici par une visite de l'église et du tombeau de San Pedro. Si vous voulez entrer dans l'église, veuillez porter des vêtements conservateurs, couverts jusqu'aux coudes et aux genoux, et retirer les chapeaux. Vous ne pouvez pas entrer pendant la messe.

Carlos was a great guide- it ended up just being two of us with him and we really enjoyed the private tour at our own pace. Carlos was very knowledgeable and personable and taught us a lot about the history of Antigua. He gave lots of recommendations and introduced us to the Jade museum. He went above and beyond- taking lots of pictures and videos of us with different sites. If I had known he was going to do a photo shoot I would have dressed cuter! Thanks Carlos!

It was fine. It was overpriced for what it was. We didn’t really see anything and our guide didn’t really teach us much and what he did say was hard for my partner to understand.

Really appreciated that Carlos waited a very long time for us to arrive as our bus from Puerto Quetzal was very delayed. We enjoyed the tour and the architectural details and context Carlos pointed out. Didn’t get to the old city or the cathedral ruins, but that might have been due to our time constraints. Great option to see many of the highlights and some sights we definitely would have missed without having a guide. Definitely recommend!

The tour guide was nice but she was injured and couldn’t walk much. We also had a difficult time hearing and understanding her at times. We hardly walked the city at all. She kept having us sit down after going only a short way. I am guessing because she needed to rest her bad knee. Considering this was a walking tour, I felt like it was a rip off. I think we could have learned and seen so much more on a different tour. I cannot recommend this one. But I wish the very best for our guide’s recovery from her injury.

We paid just a few dollars extra for the private tour, and it was well worth it. Our guide, Carlos, was super knowledgeable and personable. He told such interesting information and stories about Antigua, and he was very patient while we did a little shopping :).
