Description
Au cours de cette visite, vous aurez l'occasion de visiter certains des sites les plus intéressants tels que le pont du Diable, la forêt tropicale ainsi que de voir la beauté de l'île en conduisant à travers quelques villages pittoresques, en route vers le parc national Nelson's Dockyard, maison du célèbre port Anglais, et nommé d'après Horatio Nelson qui a servi à Antiqua dans les années 1700. Cette visite est unique en ce sens qu'elle donne une connaissance de première main de l'île après avoir visité le centre d'interprétation (si ouvert) où l'on peut voir et entendre l'histoire d'Antigua-et-Barbuda.

Montez à Shirley Heights et promenez-vous dans les anciennes fortifications militaires. Vous pouvez voir des paysages panoramiques à couper le souffle à 360 degrés. Une vue spectaculaire sur English Harbour et Falmouth Harbour accueille vos yeux et par temps clair, les îles voisines de Montserrat et de la Guadeloupe peuvent être vues.
Le chantier naval tire son nom de l'amiral Horatio Nelson, un officier de marine britannique qui a vécu dans ce chantier naval de la Royal Navy de 1784 à 1787. Entièrement restauré dans sa splendeur d'origine, les bâtiments des XVIIIe et XIXe siècles du chantier naval abritent des équipements modernes tels que des magasins , hôtels et entreprises de marina. Le chantier naval de Nelson propose de nombreux sites et activités que les visiteurs peuvent explorer et apprécier. Niché dans le parc, vous pouvez parcourir le musée de l'arsenal, situé dans l'ancienne maison de l'amiral. Le musée présente aux visiteurs des expositions sur l’histoire du chantier naval et les recherches archéologiques actuelles sur l’île. Le Copper and Lumber Store Hotel propose un hébergement cinq étoiles et est un lieu magnifique pour les occasions spéciales.Il est également situé dans le chantier naval. Pendant votre séjour, visitez les boutiques de cadeaux et les galeries d'art. Le parc national de Nelson’s Dockyard, qui contient également Clarence House et Shirley Heights, est le seul site classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO du pays.
Le pont du diable est un véritable pont formé par des milliers d’années de formation et d’érosion de récifs anciens. Les vagues de l'Atlantique se sont constamment écrasées sur les roches calcaires, ce qui a créé une arche naturelle remplie de geysers et de soufflures au fil du temps. Les vagues continuent de se briser contre ces mêmes roches calcaires côtières, et c'est un phénomène naturel étonnant.

Pour les voyageurs en vacances sur l'île, notre chauffeur viendra les chercher dans le hall de l'hôtel. Nous ramassons de TOUS les hôtels. S'il vous plaît noter, si le boking est fait dans les 24 heures de la date de voyage, la visite commencera à 10: 00am et non 9: 00am La durée de la visite est de 3 heures et demie; cependant, les clients ont la possibilité de demander une visite plus courte.

As a solo female traveler, it is important to me to find ways to see different sites where I feel safe. This tour fit the bill. I was able to see various parts of the island and felt safe. In addition, there was just the right amount of time at each location. I didn’t feel rushed or that there was too much time waiting around. It was just right.

Blondell was awesome. She was very knowledgeable about the the island. She went above and beyond to make sure our experience was the best. She was able to make a quick stop at a pharmacy and found a store that had cut up pineapple 🍍, so we could try it. I would highly recommend the tour and Blondell.

What a fantastic excursion. Started out rocky because the instructions for meeting our Tour Guide were horrible. Spent about 45 minutes at the meeting location but no Pink Sign with our name. Ended up turning on my phone and we finally got connected. Viator needs to give better information regarding where to meet. That was the end of the negative. Met Michael in his Cadillac Escalade and off we went. He was a wealth of knowledge. We did circle the whole island and he had knowledge about every community. He was very accommodating with my hubby’s walker. Made sure we had a ramp, etc.

My husband and I took this tour a couple of weeks ago while on a cruise. Our driver, Benjamin, was outstanding. He took us all over Antigua, showing us so much of the island. My husband uses a wheelchair to walk distances, and Benjamin was so good about taking the chair in and out of the car. We went to Devil's Bridge and learned the history of the rock formation there. The walk down to see the bridge was really rough and rocky, but Benjamin patiently and carefully helped my husband get close enough to see the bridge. Then on Nelsons Dockyard where we saw amazing yachts and the historical naval yard. From there went to The Blockhouse Ruins and saw amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean. Our final stop was Shirley Heights with more amazing views. It was a great day, and Benjamin was very knowledgeable about the sites we saw. A great day all around! I would highly recommend this tour and especially Benjamin!

Driver answers to question was a simple yes or no. No narrative of the island. We had to ask all the question. Vehicle dirty

Broke car after 2 nd stop which was less then 50 % of the tour. Very old car and in bad condition. Driver was not able to solve the situation. No support from his office at all. Finally we organized a taxi back to our cruise ship by ourself. Still did not got reimbursed for the taxi fare back to the ship. Anyway a lost day in Antigua with very bad memories. Be careful if you wanna book a trip in Antigua. Your decision. Or let yourself guarantee that they use new cars. This was an axpansivw tour for 2 persons of more than 200 Euros
We sincerely apologize for the unfortunate experience you had during your tour with us which was totally beyond our control. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and we deeply regret that the vehicle's condition and subsequent breakdown disrupted your day in Antigua. This is not the level of service we strive to provide. As mentioned before, we had refunded you the amount we would have been paid from the VIATOR site along with the US$40 taxi fare. Total refunded was US$211.60. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused and hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide a much better experience.
