La merveille naturelle de Devils Bridge et l'arsenal historique restauré de Nelsons sont deux des nombreux sites intéressants au cours de cette visite. Traverser les villages du côté sud de l'île qui abrite l'ananas noir d'Antigua (surnommé le plus doux du monde) est un bonus en tournée.

Perchée au-dessus de English Harbour, la vue depuis Shirley Heights est tout simplement incroyable. Si offre une vue imprenable sur les yachts amarrés dans le port en contrebas. Nommé d'après le gouverneur Thomas Shirley qui a fortifié le port en 1781. Par temps clair, les îles voisines peuvent être vues de ce point de vue.
Nelsons Dockyard, du nom de l'amiral Horatio Nelson, un officier de la marine britannique qui a vécu dans ce chantier naval de la Royal Navy entre 1784 et 1787. Entièrement restaurés dans leur splendeur d'origine, les bâtiments des 18e et 19e siècles du chantier naval abritent toutes les commodités modernes. Un phénomène naturel formé par des milliers d'années d'érosion lorsque les vagues de l'Atlantique se sont écrasées contre les rochers, créant le pont du diable. Ce pont est rempli de geysers et d'évent. On dit que de nombreux Africains réduits en esclavage se sont suicidés dans leur dernier effort pour échapper aux horreurs de l'esclavage. Un must lors de votre visite à Antigua.

I am at an all inclusive resort but also wanted an overview of Island. This tour was as advertised and fit the bill. I was pleasantly surprised to be only person on the tour. Driver/guide was pleasant and informative. Tour did include pick up and return to Jolly Beach Resort, where I was staying.

This was the perfect way to see some of the highlights of the Antigua! The tour included every stop I wanted to see, and Benjamin was the perfect guide. He answered every last question I had about Antiguan landmarks, history, and culture. He even stopped so we could try a local tamarind fruit straight off a tree! Overall, it was a great half-day tour, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to get off their resort for a bit and see more of the island.

Excellent private tour of the island. Driver Cyril was very knowledgeable and friendly. Old English Harbour and Shirley heights are the stunning highlights. Gave my wife and I a good understanding of the island of Antigua, would recommend.

I couldn't recommend this tour enough, it is definitely worth going on and Lionel is definitely the best tour guide ever. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and very polite. He is also very passionate about his work and sharing his amazing knowledge as well. If you really want to experience Antigua properly, this tour is definitely a must. I enjoyed learning about the history of Antigua from Lionel. He also has a great sense of humor, which made the tour fun as well as very informative. Lionel goes above and beyond and shows you the hidden gems of Antigua as well. This tour is definitely well worth it.

Awesome Island, relaxing ride with great commentary. A very nice lunch was included. Devil’s Bridge was a big geyser shooting up 25 feet. A few venders with lovely merchandise and no pressure buying
