Anchorage ferroviaire d'Alaska à Seward One Way

Description

Very comfortable, lots of leg room, and plenty of scenery! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a low-drama, leisurely trip to/from Seward. It’s bit long, but you don’t have to brave Alaskan highways. The staff were very courteous and helpful. It’s a bit expensive but we enjoyed it.
The views were mind blowing. Guide on board helped me experience the Alaska in a way that otherwise would not have been possible
Amazing views! A must see experience!!! We saw bears, moose, and mountain goats. Great breakfast as well. Highly recommended for all ages
WE booked a return Goldstar service to Seward and after just 2 hours realised it was massively over rated and we had made a serious mistake., The breakfast was cold and you were limited to 1 item such as juice or coffee. No toast offered. My wife a porridge that was very poor. The only advantage of Gold was you were in a glass covered carriage but that is not worth the extra you pay. They even charged for the trip booklet for Goldstar passengers $5 Outrageous. It is all about removing cash from you and it becomes irritating. . My advice is hire a car, drive to seward don't stay in the Breeze Inn, and save money as you can visit other places when returning to Anchorage and save on not buying seperate tours to different places like Whittier and conservation centre. We expect no improvement in service when we return to Anchorage on the 6pm. We paid £700 for 2 of us!!!!!!!!!!!! Big mistake......
We went gold star and it was worth every cent. The doomed carriage was very comfortable with roomy seats. Our breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The best part was access to the outdoor carriage. We took spectacular photos of the stunning route. One of the highlights of our trip.
What a beautiful ride this was. Lovely in every way. The comfortable seats, the wonderful food and staff in the dining car, the views, the narration for every point of interest, the availability to move around pretty much anywhere on the train. Wonderful all together. I loved talking to two young men in the staff area while I charged my phone. They were amazed at my living in Florida stories. Like most people, they think alligators will hunt you down. Oh, they were fun.
We were able to enjoy the beautiful scenario while traveling in very comfortable seats, with excellent commentary provided by the guide.
What a great train ride the scenery was amazing!! When asked by the Stewart if we wanted to make a breakfast reservation, we said yes we had a light breakfast with muffin and reindeer sausage that was so good. And sit and watch Alaska go by as we ate. Walk around the train went into the car with viewing glass dome. The price was more reasonable than with the cruise line and we were able to check our bags prior to getting onto the train.
This train ride was fantastic! Of course, very scenic. GoldStar Service Class is must with comfortable reserved seats, wonderful staff and delicious breakfast. We were unable to book in advance (cruise ships and Road Scholar book everything well in advance) but were able to upgrade at the station the day before we boarded. Well worth the effort!
Absolutely the best way to travel in Alaska. The scenery and the tour commentary was spectacular. Highly recommend! Breakfast on the train wasn’t bad. The staff were all excellent.
