Self-Guided Tour option is the way to go
If you appreciate art, this is a must-see. Get your ticket in advance and make sure you have the QR code ready to be scanned. There was only a small, fast moving line at 9 am to get in on a Tuesday. You must get the self guided tour option. It’s not at all expensive. While busy, at no time did I feel crowded and there was plenty of opportunity to stand in front of your favorite painting for a few moments. Crowd was quiet, polite, and I never felt like I was in someone’s way. What a beautiful experience.

confusing directions
instructions for initial meeting place was not clear and confusing. After receiving 4-5 emails with updates, etc, it was difficult to find correct meeting place, and because of this, I missed the tour

We would like to clarify that you booked the audio-guided option, which does not include a live guide or a guided tour. Therefore, there is no meeting point for this experience. Travelers are required to proceed directly to the attraction entrance using the tickets provided.

Scam! (van Gogh Museum)
Fraud!
Tickets that were far too expensive were not tickets, but vouchers. According to the confirmation, these were supposed to be exchanged for tickets on-site, and there were GPS coordinates provided.
On-site, no one showed up, the provided phone number was unreachable and "unknown," and the Viator app was not connected to booking.com, so our reservation did not appear there.
We did not receive valid entry tickets from Werder via email, SMS, or WhatsApp!!
324 euros simply scammed without any service provided. The result: three extremely disappointed and desperate children who had traveled from Germany with us, full of anticipation for van Gogh.
Incredible total scam.
We demand our money back!

In den Buchungsdetails wird erläutert, dass die offiziellen Tickets separat am Tag vor dem Besuch über Viator CLC und WhatsApp (falls verfügbar) versendet werden, und Ihre Tickets wurden entsprechend verschickt. Es handelte sich um eine selbstgeführte Option ohne Gastgeber. Unsere Preisgestaltung berücksichtigt Verfügbarkeit, Steuern, Zuschläge und den Zugang zu Last-Minute-Tickets.

Scam!
Scam! We booked 5 a lot too expensive tickets at booking.com for our family, including three kids who also really were looking forward to the van Gogh Museum.
According to the confirmation we should change our vouchers with tickets at the museum, google-maps-link with coordinates were sent to us.
Nobody was there, the phone number was not available, and we hadn't received any valuable tickets per email, WhatsApp or sms.
We are more than disappointed and hurt due to this scam.
Return us our 324 Euro inmediately!!!

We would like to clarify that our product does not state that vouchers must be exchanged at the venue. The booking details explain that the official tickets are sent separately the day before travel via Viator CLC and WhatsApp (when available), and your tickets were sent accordingly. This was a self-guided option with no host included. Our pricing reflects availability, taxes, surcharges, and last-minute ticket access.

Tickets sent the day before
Due to the reviews had no great expectation, but no more tickets in the normal way. Everything worked - the VanGogh tickets were sent to you by email the day before. Thank you very much

At no time in the booking...
At no time in the booking process did Viatour say you need IOS 18 to download the purchased tickets. My phone is older and there is no option to download an older version of the app. The people at the museum were helpful but unable to admit us because the technical issue.
Beware, communication regarding the needed app was poor. If you have an older phone you cannot retrieve your tickets. A total waste.

It should be easier
We booked tickets for the Van Gogh Museum. It was very annoying and complicated to get the tickets online

It's a museum you shouldn't miss
It contains very nice works by painter Van Gogh and his miserable life. Also his conflicts that led to his suicide.
