Make sure the van is actually air conditioned. Our guide, Christian, contacted me the night before our tour to confirm the meeting spot and to encourage us to start 30 minutes early. He said we could go by the castle with this extra time, an extra experience. Sounded good. When we met the next morning, he revealed that the air conditioning in the van was working “ so-so”, and that he would pay our admission to the castle as a result. Well there was no air conditioning in the van, and the four folks in our party (some in their late 70’s) almost died in the heat. It was 99F during the tour! Finally after around 4 hours, we decided to stop the tour and have him return us to our hotel. The tour operator should have cancelled the tour as soon as they knew the air conditioning was broken.
The tour was very well planned and we spent an adequate amount of time in each town. As it was a small group, we could walk at a good pace and see all the sights we wanted to see. The van had air conditioning which was essential during the heat wave and a nice break from walking in each town. Our tour guide Laura was extremely knowledgeable and explained the history behind each monument and town. She was also very knowledgeable about wines and made the wine tasting a great experience. Would definitely recommend the tour.
Excellent experience. Our guide Laura was awesome! Delightful small historic villages visited at a nice pace. Very nice wine tasting included. Thousands of photos opportunities!
We spent an absolutely incredible day exploring the four colourful villages, which were so stunning it felt like walking through a fairytale. Laura was a fantastic guide - really friendly, flexible and knowledgeable, providing interesting facts and history along the way. The day was totally relaxed and unhurried with plenty of time for a lunch stop, and all journeys in the minibus under half a hour. The wine tasting rounded off the day nicely.
We had a great day out with Laura as we headed to 4 towns, finished off with a wine tasting. I would consider this a guided visit rather than a tour. Nothing felt rushed, and the tour was flexible to allow us to check out a shop that caught our eye. Laura was happy to answer any questions and pointed out and explained the key aspects of each town. The towns are closed together so you are not spending all day in the car and the groups are small so you are not held up by lots of people. Three of the towns you get a guided walk through and 1 you stop for lunch and wander yourself (it has a Christmas shop but closes 12.45-1.45 so head straight there if you like Christmas shops).
Our guide, Didier, was courteous, informative and accommodating. The four towns were spectacular, and the itinerary was exactly as advertised. Outstanding experience overall.
It was very fun and interesting! Our guide was outstanding and very accommodating! Was a great day of history, awesome food stop and wine tasting! Lovely
Great experience. The tour goes to spectacular towns. The history is interesting. Didier, our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Laura was an excellent tour guide. The tour allowed for flexibility at each town. Laura provided excellent information and allowed for questions. She made the entire experience very enjoyable. The wine tasting was also a lot of fun, here again Larry made it very personalized offered suggestions and a great history of the wines. Highly recommend the tour and the experience!
Laura was a wonderful tour guide: full of local knowledge and information. She answered our questions and was a pleasure to spend the day with. She was also a good driver so we felt safe with her. Would definitely recommend this company and specifically Laura!
