I had an absolutely wonderful experience on the Swiss Alps Bernina Red Train and St. Moritz tour from Milan. A huge thank you to our guide and drivers – they were truly amazing! Everything was perfectly organized, and what made the trip even more special was their energy and attitude. The guide kept us engaged the entire time with great information, a lovely sense of humor, and lots of nice jokes that made the journey even more enjoyable. The drivers were fantastic as well – professional, smooth, and made us feel safe and relaxed throughout. The whole team created such a positive atmosphere and kept the good vibes going all day. It was not just a tour, but a memorable experience that I will always cherish. Highly recommend – thank you again for such a beautiful day!
Wonderful tour! Anna was a perfect guide- very knowledgeable but didn’t overdo the narration. Gorgeous views from the train & the bus.
The journey on the red train was impressive, with spectacular views. Seeing glaciers, waterfalls, lagoons... I recommend it!! I still have the beauty of the landscape etched in my retina! The Spanish guide was very pleasant. The visit to St. Moritz turned out to be very short; I needed a little more time. Spectacular visit!!
Disappointing. The tour company did not complete the tour to the itinerary provided. We exited the train early and did not receive our second stop and free time in Tirano and received no explanation as to why. Air conditioning on bus did not work properly so it was an extremely hot 3 hour ride back to Milan. Arrived back an hour early due to less than 2 hours in Saint Moritz and no stop in Tarino. I submitted a request for partial compensation and was denied by the tour company. A tour company should give customers everything they pay for!!!
Amazing experience. Beautiful scenery and great get away in the hot summer to get some refreshing air. Our tour guide was a lot of fun and very down to earth. The driver Maximo was incredible . Well worth the moeny
I will first address some of the other reviews that suggest that the pick up point in front of Milano Centrale is hard to find. If you have ever taken a bus or train or have any travel experience, you will be able to find it because it is labeled as the tour company's bus stop and pick up point. Good things about this tour are as follows: The views from the bus and train of the Swiss Alps are breathtaking and the scenery and lakes in Saint Moritz are beautiful. Finally, Swiss chocolate is as good as they say and was available in Saint Moritz. Now for the not so good: One of my main complaints regarding the tour was the multiple languages. As a person who understands both English and Spanish, I didn't think anything of the dual languages and neither did my friend who doesn't speak Spanish. In reality, it was very hard to track the information given by the guide in English or Spanish because she often spoke both languages in one sentence rather than consistently speaking them separately. Additionally, for the English, she often mixed in Italian which I don't speak and so overall, information was hard to get and made the driving lack periods of quiet where we could relax. Additionally, the commentary was not particularly insightful which did not make the locations feel special. For example when we got to the city of Tirano, we were told that it isn't the city of torino and that torino was once the capital of Italy. This was the only fact we were given. The tour was mostly driving. As someone who has done over a dozen 10-13 hour day tours, the way to make them manageable is to have meaningful stops along the way to break up the driving. This was not the case here. There is a stop just after 2 hours in as a breakfast stop which had adequate time to order, eat, and use the toilet. But other than that you haul straight to Saint Moritz. Once at Saint Moritz we only had about an hour and a half to spend in Saint Moritz which was disappointing because it is a really cute, albeit expensive, city. On every tour I've been on it is hard to get every person to respect the time deadlines but I've never had the guide be late back to a meeting point. Twice of the three meeting times on the tour, she was several minutes late. The train is very cool, however you don't need over 2 hours to spend on it. After about an hour, the train was super hot and the wheels were insanely loud and my friend and I really wanted to have some time to get out and explore the lakes and other natural areas at the stops but you don't have that ability. After the train, which we didn't get to take all the way to Tirano, the bus again drives super far and we stop at another Cafe type stop which was a waste of half an hour because the bus has a bathroom and we could get food and drinks on the train. By this time we were itching to get back to Milan and were still over an hour and a half away. The bus itself had a glass ceiling which meant in the hot Italian summer, we were being blinded at all hours of the day. Overall Switzerland is absolutely beautiful but for the amount of money, I wouldn't recommend this tour.
We started early, leaving Milan with our guide Diana and the driver Massimo. It is 3 hours to get to St. Moritz with a stop halfway at a coffee shop. The journey to St. Moritz was unforgettable. A beauty of nature incomparable to other places. We had 1.5 hrs in the city before boarding the train. If you want the best scenery, sit on the right side, but you will suffer from the sun (we went in July). The left side has the shade but fewer photo opportunities. The train lasted about 2 hrs. In the end, the bus waited for us at the station and then another three hours back to Milan.
A very beautiful experience, a very nice and cosmopolitan group, the bus was very good, the driver, exceptional, the guide, very nice, competent, very professional and available for everyone. A good time on the train and magnificent landscapes.
Terrible service. Not helpful for any help. And the guide ask us to come ourself if don’t like. Super terrible service
