It was a pleasant trip with a nice driver who told us about historical events and facts of the places we drove past. We were allowed to buy SIM cards at the border crossing so that we had internet the whole way. At two stops at Lake Sevan and in Yerevan, we had a good guide David who told historical facts.

When we travel around the world, we always look forward to fun-filled, exciting, and memorable experiences. Based on the many positive reviews and Viator’s reputation as a leading tour platform, we felt confident booking our one-way day trip from Tbilisi, Georgia to Yerevan, Armenia. Unfortunately, this experience turned into one of the most disappointing and frustrating tour experiences of our travels. 😩😣 My wife and I were all genuinely excited about the day ahead. Instead, our day was severely disrupted by a series of transportation and service issues. Before departure, we noticed that the driver was checking the bus engine. We assumed this was simply part of the normal pre-trip inspection and had no reason to believe there was a serious mechanical issue. We stopped somewhere on the side of the road with the driver checking the engine. At approximately 12:30 PM, the bus suddenly broke down and was no longer operational. What was particularly concerning was the lack of communication and assistance provided to the passengers. Our guide did not proactively explain what had happened or what arrangements were being made. We only received information after one of us asked. We were then left waiting in the heat without water, lunch, snacks, or other basic refreshments while the transportation issue was being addressed. Things became even more difficult when we were transferred to a second bus without air conditioning, where we remained for approximately an hour. Eventually, a third bus was provided to finally continue the journey. As a result, a tour that was scheduled to end at approximately 5:00 PM in Yerevan did not conclude for us until around 8:00 PM. Our friends who were returning to Tbilisi were affected even more severely, arriving back at around 2 AM! This was not simply a minor delay. The transportation breakdown, multiple bus transfers, lack of air conditioning, extended waiting period in the heat, lack of refreshments, insufficient communication, and significant delay materially changed the experience we paid for. We fully understand that mechanical problems and unforeseen circumstances can happen. We are not asking Viator to prevent something that may genuinely be beyond anyone’s control. Our concern is how the situation was handled once the problem occurred. When a major transportation failure happens during a professionally organized tour, passengers reasonably expect the tour operator and booking platform to have contingency measures in place and to make reasonable efforts to protect passengers’ comfort and minimize disruption. At the very least, we expected:     ●    Prompt and transparent communication regarding the breakdown;     ●    Access to drinking water and basic refreshments while waiting;     ●    Reasonable consideration for passengers waiting in the heat;     ●    Appropriate replacement transportation with basic amenities such as air conditioning; and     ●    Efforts to minimize the substantial delay to the itinerary. Despite everything that happened, our group remained calm, patient, and respectful throughout the ordeal. We were fortunate that everyone in our group was positive and supportive of one another, and we continued to enjoy each other’s company despite the circumstances. However, we believe that our patience should not diminish the seriousness of what occurred or the fact that the service delivered was substantially different from the experience we purchased. A just compensation is in order. We believe this request is justified given the extent of the disruption and the significant difference between the promised tour experience and the actual service delivered. We chose to book through Viator because we trusted your platform to connect travelers with reliable and professionally operated experiences. We hope that Viator will demonstrate that same commitment to its customers by taking responsibility for this experience and offering an appropriate resolution. We would appreciate it if this complaint could be reviewed by a customer service representative or supervisor who can consider the circumstances in their entirety, rather than treating this solely as an unavoidable vehicle breakdown. Great way to get to Yerevan from Tbilisi while exploring some touristic spots along the way, Paata was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable.

It was a professional and secure tour for both guides and drivers. As a move from Georgia to Armenia, it's good to see and it saves time. The only improvement was ordering lunch, which was difficult.

It was a nice experience. We had Paata as our guide and he was really knowledgeable. He also was good at balancing being a guide, was not talking all the time, but told us everything we needed to know. The trip also kept their time schedule.

A great way to move from Georgia to Armenia! Including interesting stops along the way, it made a journey into a cultural trip! The border crossing was smooth. Our guide was knowledgable and very efficient.

Though the tour started very early at 7am, the tour guide did a very good job, giving so many information about both Georgia and Armenia. It is a good way to transfer from Tbilisi to Yerevan via a few stops to see more in Armenia.

Great way to go from Tbilisi to Yerevan when visiting both Georgia and Armenia. There is a stop at the border that can go fast or slow depending on crowds and how prepared tour mates are with passports, visas, etc. Good way to go to Lake Sevan and other sites up in the north of Armenia. It takes the whole day but it goes fast. You can book it one way or with a return back to Tbilisi. I did the one way, and I’d recommend to do so and to stay over for a couple of nights in Yerevan. I was glad to see other solo travelers on my tour. Good value!
