The airport in question is a paradigmatic example of mismanagement of the user experience. Rather than facilitating the natural flow of passengers in transit — as would be expected in a modern hub — the process forces to leave and repeat all safety controls, with outdated and slow X-ray machines, resulting in more than an hour of queues and a widespread feeling of frustration. This approach reveals an operational vision centered on bureaucracy rather than the passenger, ignoring elementary principles of efficiency, hospitality and respect for customer time. Ultimately, the airport seems more interested in controlling and penalising the traveler than serving him. In a sector where experience determines Loyalty and international reputation, this airport positions itself as an example of how not to manage a critical point of contact with the tourist

My wife and I travel through this airport once , sometimes twice a year and always seem to have the very worst experience with the airport security staff at this particular airport. TODAY AGAIN ! was no exception .I was left feeling threatened and humiliated by the thuggish approach of these individuals, who collectively appear to enjoy carrying out this kind of unacceptable behaviour. After numerous attempts to get through the scanner and being manhandled , I was then directed to a female member of staff who took great delight in emphasising putting on rubber gloves ( for my benefit) in a manner that was … intimidating , threatening and totally inappropriate. Having worked within the Probation Service with offenders and whilst providing public protection, i am well aware of the needs required to carry out this duty , However ! the security staff at this airport fail miserably at providing any such service to the public , they are after all public servants and should remember to treat the passengers with respect, not with contempt.The duty Police Officer that was called over by the female security due to my annoyance with her offending behaviour was very polite and professional, as she should have been while carrying out her duties. I sincerely hope that Elche Miguel Hernandez (Owner) can take a constructive approach with this review to provide suitable training for his security staff to carry out their duties with a more pro social approach towards the passengers whilst providing at better customer service ….. with a smile and respect may I add .
