He reached out the day before and twice the morning of the tour. It was so easy meeting up with him for the tour. He was very informative and knew his history of the Alhambra. We listened to every word he said. Highly recommend our tour guide. We give him a A+
We had the pleasure of having Abubakr as our tour guide and it was nothing short of amazing. I know that 3 hours might sound intimidating and like something you might check out of halfway through, but Abubakr was so fun and really told a story as you walked through the Alhambra. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting a fun and fascinating tour. We learned so much that we could’ve never discovered in our own. For reference it was my husband and I and our two daughters. What a blast.
Our guide Abubakr was excellent. Very knowledgeable and very solicitous and tuned in to our needs. Thoroughly recommend it.
The visit to this unique site was exceptional for the beauty of the places that the comments of our private guide Abubakr was able to reveal in an enlightened and sensitive way. His comments on the architecture and history of the Moors enlightened by the spirituality of Islam were particularly instructive.
Abubakr was a wonderful guide, his expertise in history and kindness made the experience special for us. He showed us so many hidden treasures in the Alhambra that made it very interesting for us. Absolutely recommend this private tour
This private tour featured the best guide my wife and I have ever had on a trip. Abubakr had tremendous knowledge of the history and unique features of Alhambra, the gardens, everything. Keep in mind that if you want to a tour of the Nasrid palace, book at least a month in advance to guarantee your tickets. We only had a few weeks lead time before our visit to Granada, so we actually arrived without secured tickets for the Nasrid Palace. However the tour company searched high and low and found tickets for my wife and me. The company’s communication was also great and they responded to texts quickly and thoroughly. Can’t recommend them enough,
Never got to do the trip, the tour operators contacted the day before we were at the Alhambra to say they couldn’t get the actual admission tickets then claimed to be totally transparent in their advertising, if that was the case we would have not been surprised and totally disappointed, a complete let down, the tour operators should not be allowed to sell tickets unless they have the admission tickets
It is neither ethical nor reasonable to make such a comment. I believe it is clearly explained that bookings made less than two months in advance are not guaranteed. You made your reservation under these conditions, correct? We are doing our best to secure tickets, and we have a high success rate in obtaining them, but unfortunately this is beyond our control. This is clearly stated throughout the booking process and also in the voucher. This situation also represents a loss of work for us. This is simply how the Alhambra system works for last-minute reservations: we first receive the booking and the visitors’ names, and only then can we try to secure the final available tickets, which are nominative. Without the names, we cannot block or reserve these last tickets in advance. Moreover, last-minute tickets do often become available, which is precisely why we make the effort to try. If the client gives their consent and fully understands the conditions, it is reasonable to proceed under these terms. Forming an opinion based solely on frustration is, however, neither fair nor constructive. There is no alternative process. If we are unable to secure the tickets, you will receive a full refund.YOU RECEIVED YOUR REFUND
Our guide Abubakr was excellent. Knowledgeable and passionate he made the experience unforgettable. Unfortunately we did not get tickets to Nasrid Palace as we were led to believe we would. We were issued a partial refund, but did not see what we came for.
Our Alhambra experience was nothing short of magical, and Abu Bakr deserves every bit of credit for that. The journey began even before the trip itself. We booked on March 31st for April 13th, well within the 2-month window where tickets aren't guaranteed. Abu Bakr was upfront about this from day one, but assured us he'd do everything possible to secure them. True to his word, he kept us updated every couple of days without us even having to ask. Our tickets were confirmed the day before the visit. What a relief! His preparation was meticulous. He sent us a detailed video explaining exactly where the taxi drops off, how long the walk to the ticket office was, and precisely what to say when collecting tickets for our two young children. With a 2-year-old and a 6-month-old in tow, this level of detail made all the difference. On the day itself, Abu Bakr's knowledge of the Alhambra was extraordinary. This was a private tour, which meant we could ask him as many questions as we wanted and we did. He walked us through the Nasrid Palaces with incredible depth, explaining how the Sultan lived, how subjects would approach him, the symbolism behind every archway and tile. He even pulled up YouTube videos showing the centuries-old artistic process behind the intricate tilework. History came alive in a way no guidebook ever could. What truly set him apart was his humanity. Strollers aren't permitted inside the Nasrid Palaces, which meant carrying both children throughout. Without being asked, Abu Bakr quietly took our bags so we could manage the kids comfortably. When our 6-month-old needed feeding mid-tour, he guided us to a peaceful bench in the gardens, sat with us patiently for 15 to 20 minutes, and never once made us feel rushed. Yes, the price seemed a little steep when we first booked. But after the tour, every penny felt completely justified. The combination of guaranteed tickets, exceptional knowledge, genuine care for our family and a seamlessly smooth experience from start to finish made it worth every cent. The Alhambra itself is an absolute must visit. We were choosing between Seville and Granada for our itinerary and the Alhambra was the decision maker and it lived up to every expectation. If you're in Granada, do not miss it. It is breathtaking. If you're visiting the Alhambra, especially with young children, book with Abu Bakr without hesitation. He doesn't just show you a monument, he makes you feel the soul of it. One of the highlights of our entire trip to Spain.
Wonderful tour with the brilliant Iria. We booked late and the company worked a miracle to get us last minute Nasrid Palace entry tickets
