L'Alhambra, située sur la colline de Sabica, est une ville palatine andalouse. Son nom vient de la couleur rougeâtre de ses murs, provenant de l'argile du terrain lui-même (Al-Hamra en arabe). Elle est formée d'un ensemble de palais, de jardins et d'une forteresse où se trouvait une citadelle au sein même de la ville de Grenade, sa fonction principale était de servir de logement au monarque et à la cour du royaume nasride de Grenade. On y trouve également des colonies chrétiennes, comme le palais de Charles Quint et l'église de Santa Maria, construite sur l'ancienne mosquée. C'est l'un des monuments les plus visités d'Espagne et il a été déclaré site du patrimoine mondial en 1984. Profitez de la visite avec un guide officiel.
Le palais de Carlos V est une construction de la Renaissance réalisée par l'architecte Pedro Machuca. Le palais est unique dans son style, formant une place avec une cour circulaire inscrite à l'intérieur. C'est l'œuvre la plus remarquable de la Renaissance espagnole.
Le Generalife est la villa avec jardins utilisée par les rois musulmans de Grenade comme lieu de retraite et de repos. Elle a été conçue comme une villa rurale, où jardins ornementaux, vergers et architecture étaient intégrés aux alentours de l'Alhambra. Le nom que nous donnons au complexe du Generalife signifie littéralement Yannat al-Arif : « Le jardin de l'architecte », une allusion aux jardins et vergers qui fournissaient fruits et légumes à la cour nasride. Cependant, le palais vers lequel nous nous dirigeons, conçu comme lieu de repos du monarque, était ce que le poète Ibn al-Jayyab appelait « la maison royale du bonheur ».
L'Alcazaba est la partie la plus ancienne de l'Alhambra, de l'arabe : القصبة al-qaṣbah (citadelle) était une enceinte fortifiée à caractère urbain, dont la fonction était de servir de résidence royale à Mohammed Ier jusqu'à ce que les palais soient terminés, à partir de là sa fonction était purement militaire.

Friendly local tour guide with a nice sense of humor. Ventura, our guide, welcomed questions and shared many stories and much history. We highly recommend this tour.
Terrible and recurring experience, as reported in several other reviews, already experienced by other people. We booked a guided tour at the Alhambra in Granada at least a month before the experience, spending €45 per person. When we arrived, we were told that there wasn't the necessary number of people to form a group with a guide in the requested language, so we were given a different ticket with an audio guide for €21. Upon our request for an explanation, we were advised to ask for compensation, and in the end, they only want to issue us a refund of €5 per person, when we spent at least double that extra amount, without having any alternatives. We will certainly proceed through the appropriate channels; this is a full-blown scam. Be careful about trusting them.
We loved our guide, ALBA JIMÉNEZ. She gave a very pleasant and very interesting tour. Everything she showed us was super attractive, educational, and very professional. We are very happy and grateful that Alba was our guide; she is super cordial and professional. A luxury!!
Too many people in the group and you can’t hear the tour guide plus she’s walking ahead and talking about things that, if you’re in the back oh the group, you can’t see what she’s talking about

When buying the tour, I didn't understand that I didn't choose the entrance to the Nasrid palace; it was a shame since the guide warned us that our visit ended very quickly. In my opinion, it is not well explained whether or not it includes the palace. Even after the tour, I went back to the website to look for the tour I had bought and look for the tour I really wanted to do, the one with the guided visit with the palace included. I liked the guided tour, the guide is TOP, she made the tour very pleasant and answered all our questions. Thank you for your attention!
I booked an entrance to the Alhambra with a guide for two with My Top Tour for the price of €112. That same morning, I was told that the tour was canceled and that I would have an audio guide as a replacement. When I asked for a refund, they replied that the refund would be €10. I heard that it happened to other groups or couples. Be careful!!!!

Vogliamo chiarire che la visita guidata richiede un numero minimo di partecipanti per poter essere realizzata. Quando questo minimo non viene raggiunto, il tour guidato non può svolgersi e viene offerta un’alternativa con audioguida, affinché il cliente possa comunque accedere all’Alhambra e realizzare la visita. Comprendiamo che una visita con guida e una visita con audioguida non siano la stessa esperienza, e ci dispiace che il cambio comunicato la stessa mattina abbia causato disagio. Per quanto riguarda l’importo del rimborso indicato, questo viene calcolato tenendo conto del fatto che i biglietti ufficiali erano già stati gestiti, insieme agli altri servizi inclusi nella prenotazione. Agreed on ticket + guide for 56 euros (21 for the ticket + 35 for the guide), paid in advance. A few hours before the tour, I am informed that instead of the guide, an audio guide will be provided and only 5 euros will be refunded. From this, one can deduce that the audio guide cost 30 euros! A scam to be reported to the competent authorities.

The guide knew less about the Alhambra than I did. All the information from the guide was already known to me and the guide didn't tell a couple of important things about the Alhambra. The guide didn't pay attention to where everybody of our (small, 9 people) group was so I was always far behind. Sometimes the guide was so far ahead that I lost reception on my headset.
