Cette visite historique d'Alexandrie, fondée par Alexandre en 332 av. J.-C., vous permettra de rencontrer les lieux incontournables. Nous aurons l'occasion de visiter les lieux historiques les plus importants de la ville pour les amateurs d'archéologie, qui se soucient beaucoup de l'histoire et de visiter des lieux emblématiques comme, les catacombes, l'amphithéâtre romain, le fort, et l'ancien endroit du phare entre autres. Vous aurez également la chance de passer par la vieille partie de la ville pour voir l'architecture historique locale, qui a des dessins de style baroque et des propriétés de style Italien et Français.

Remarque : la bibliothèque d'Alexandrie est fermée le vendredi et les jours fériés égyptiens
visitez le site de l'ancien phare avec une visite à la citadelle voisine de Qeitbay, datant du XIVe siècle après J.C.
Une visite à la plus ancienne cathédrale copte orthodoxe de la ville. Profitez de sa basilique, de sa beauté et de sa paix.

This is food tour was fantastic, a full experience about Egyptian and alexandrian local food and culture. Our guide Karim Knows every small secrets which make Alexandrian a special city with its markets, historical coffee and restaurants. We had a very pleasant visit and recommand it to those who want an authentic local experience. We recommand to do it as your first steps in Alexandria to give you all the informations you need to visit after by yourself.

We highly recommend this tour with this team. We arrived a day early to Cairo to add this tour on the front end of our Trafalgar Best of Egypt trip. Our driver Ashraf was timely, kind, well conversational in English, and also answered all our questions to and from Alexandria. Our guide in Alexandria, Rasha, gave us a fantastic introduction to Egypt with her interesting descriptions and history of the sites we visited in her very clear, excellent English. She gave us all the time we wanted at each location, gave us choices along the way, answered our many questions, and was so very knowledgeable, kind, and pleasant to spend the day with. We highly recommend and would rebook with this team again ourselves for further exploration!

My brother and I had the best experience in Alexandria, and Heba, our tourist guide, was the person who made that experience more enjoyable and acknowledgable. She explained us everything in a easy and well-done way that we got a better understanding of how was the old life and culture and in Alexandria compared with the rest of Egypt. We met Karim for the food tour in the late afternoon. We were looking for something unusual and found it. Karim knows the city center perfectly and makes you live a safe but authentic experience between the narrow streets of the market and street food with anecdotes ti history and local folklore.

From the moment we met Karim in Alexandria he made us smile and it seemed everyone in Alexandria knew and loved him. He spoke very good English and provided lots of information on the places we saw and answered all our questions. He gave us as much time as we needed and we felt very honoured to be escorted around Alexandria by him. This tour company included visits to all the important sites. Don’t use a company that ‘passes by’ sites, you will miss out on some fascinating places. Also a shout out for our driver from Giza to Alexandria and back. We felt safe with him and his English was good enough for him to tell us about the sites and countryside that we passed on the journey. We chose not to stop on the journey and it took just over two hours each way. One tip. We didn’t book the tour inclusive of entrance fees (on any day of our holiday) as our research showed that we could book entrance tickets cheaper online ourselves. We didn’t manage to get the tickets for Alexandria beforehand so Karim took us to a ticket machine at the first stop where he helped us buy all the tickets. It took moments and was so much cheaper than paying the tour company to organise the tickets.

Rasha was absolutely lovely. She showed us around Alexandria and explained everything really clearly. She never rushed us, gave us plenty of time to take photos, and also gave us space to enjoy the experience. I had my grandma with me, and she was incredibly patient and kind throughout the whole tour. It was a really good experience, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone visiting.
