Le fort d'Al Jahili a été un centre culturel des activités associées à la philosophie et au patrimoine d'Abu Dhabi dans la Garden City. Al Jahili est l'un des plus grands forts des Émirats arabes unis et a été construit dans les années 1890 sur ordre de Zayed The First en tant que résidence des membres de la famille dirigeante d'Al Nahyan.
Qasr al-Ain ou "Al Ain Palace", est l'un des forts les mieux rétablis de l'émirat d'Abu Dhabi. Le musée présente la vie quotidienne dans le fort d'un souverain lorsque feu Sheikh Zayed et sa famille résidaient dans le palais avant 1966. L'architecture de style bédouin remonte à 1937 et a été transformée en musée en 1998 en tant que principale attraction culturelle et touristique.
L'oasis historique s'étend sur 3 000 acres et offre un aperçu unique des habitants de la région qui ont commencé à dompter le désert il y a 4 000 ans. L'oasis d'Al Ain est un site du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO depuis 2011, mais seulement maintenant, avec la construction d'un écocentre éducatif et d'un vaste système de sentiers ombragés qui serpentent à travers quelque 147000 dates. Le site abrite jusqu'à 100 variétés de végétation différentes qui entourent l'impressionnante oasis, avec des plantations répandues qui sont également des fermes en activité.
Le célèbre marché aux chameaux d'Al Ain est une merveilleuse immersion dans la culture arabe traditionnelle. Des jeunes chameaux arabes qui pourraient devenir des coureurs aux impressionnants chameaux adultes idéaux pour l'élevage, le marché est une expérience unique pour observer de plus près l'animal qui occupe une place spéciale dans le patrimoine émirati.
Arrêt photo: S'élevant à 1 240 mètres, Jebel Hafit est le plus haut sommet de l'émirat et le deuxième des Émirats arabes unis. Cette imposante hauteur rocheuse, qui veille sur Al Ain et borde Oman, est forgée dans du calcaire escarpé qui a été altéré pendant des millions d'années. Des découvertes de fossiles importantes ont été faites dans la région, qui sont des pièces vitales du puzzle de l'histoire ancienne de la ville.
Cette étendue verte au pied du Jebel Hafeet est un autre spectacle qui met en valeur les riches réserves naturelles d'Al Ain. Hotspot populaire pour les pique-niques et les sorties en famille, le Green Mubazzarah regorge de familles pour profiter du soleil, d'aventuriers en randonnée sur la montagne et de campeurs qui peuvent passer la nuit dans des tentes à la base.

we did a one-day tour as a couple to Al Ain. The company was very serious, there were only us but the tour was still guaranteed with a minibus. At our complete disposal the driver-guide (Jakir) who was precise in taking us to all the places planned by the tour managing the timing and movements. kind and thoughtful. We visited the planned sites. absolutely beautiful and unmissable to get to know this exceptional land and population. Tradition, respect and kindness are everywhere, Al Ain is full of history and culture, everything is orderly and well kept. fascinating customs and the spirit of determination and dignity that has allowed this land to transform in an enviable way. Lunch planned in a luxurious hotel with refined dishes. Absolutely a tour not to be missed. Only one visit missed because the site was under renovation. Maybe it could have been replaced with another stage, but this allowed us to stay longer in the other stages.

Absolutely worth doing if you've got a little more time in Dubai (UAE). An escape from the city & how it came to be! If you love history & want to experience the historical side of the UAE & what life was like pre oil, then this is a must do! You get to see & experience the old fort & royal palace + enjoy a great all you can eat buffet. There's also the mountain range at the end with a spectacular view. The camel site is not for the faint hearted though... It's a great cultural experience, but also a sad one (even as a meat eater). Our tour guide was Rilwan Mohama'd. He was very kind & informative. He told us lots about each site we visited. He also did a pit stop on the drive back to Dubai for a quick drink & loo break. My only slight niggle, is the lunch is a bit later in the tour, so definitely bring a water bottle & little snack (crisps or something to nibble in the car). We left our bags in the car at each side we visited.

We have chosen Full Day Al Ain Tour with lunch to discover the UNESCO oasis. Our tour guide Razwan was very kind. We visited AL Jahili Fort, Al Ain Palace Museum, Al Ain Oasis, Camel Market, Jabal Hafeet panoramic viewpoint (unfortunately during the tour you don’t visit the summit) and Mubazarah Hot Springs. Some stops could be longer but overall I recommend the tour. Futhermore, the very delicious lunch was included.
