This experience was very interactive and our group leader took time to explain the history and how to make sourdough. Great experience for families with teens.
It was hard to find the exact pick up location, however, they did end up calling me and we were able to meet up. When we arrived at the resturant we had a party of 7. We were the first to arrive, and then another 18 people arrived after us. We ended up being the last to get our pizza's to make, the last to have our pizza's placed in the oven, and the last to leave. 5 of our pizza's came out together. Another came out 35 minutes later, and my 9yo daughters pizza arrived 45 minutes after the first pizza's. It was a bit frustrating. The pizza was deliious and the hosts were very kind. It would've been nice, if the tables were served as they came in, and if the pizza's for our group arrived at the same time.
This was an excellent excursion and some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. We had authentic Alaskan sodas and built our own pizzas.
Want to learn how to make a really incredible sourdough pizza, this is the place. Ignore that review, complaining about a dropped pizza and replacement pizza being unsatisfactory, the reviewer was being deliberately vague about the fact that they dropped it and not the wait staff and ignore the lie that their pizza was not replaced with like kind. Everything from the service to the pizza system themselves or top-notch in a beautiful location and the occasionally rude customer, but don’t hold back against them. These are great people. The class was informative, fun and definitely tasty.

It was advertised as a 4 hour pizza making experience. It lasted 2 hours. The event hostess read from a placemat that was on the table. Promised starter kit was not as advertised. Disappointing experience overall.

Our Sourdough Pizza Experience is designed as a three-hour tour, with approximately 30 minutes dedicated to transportation to and from the venue, leaving around two and a half hours for the culinary portion of the experience. After reviewing your tour date, it appears your group was smaller than average. We have found that these more intimate groups often move through the activities at a quicker pace, which can result in the experience feeling shorter than anticipated. We also appreciate your comments regarding the presentation and starter kit. The staff was friendly, the views were absolutely stunning, and the pizza itself was quite tasty. Unfortunately, the "History of Sourdough" presentation and cooking experience did not meet our expectations. During the class, my husband's pizza was accidentally dropped, and the replacement pizza he received was very different from the one he had prepared himself, which was disappointing after participating in the hands-on experience. As frequent cruisers who enjoy culinary excursions, we felt the overall value was not quite commensurate with the price of the experience. While we appreciated the beautiful setting and the kindness of the staff, we left wishing the educational and interactive portions had been more polished and memorable.
