We came for a school trip. The experience overall was phenomenal. The rides were a hit and the was on point. I have 2 complaints: the first was that the drink machines seem to have been down around the whole park. We purchased the refillable cup and all the sodas seemed to be out except at Mango Joe's. The second is the bathrooms near the entrance with the showers and the one off the lazy river were so hot I was sweating more in there than out in the sun. Other than that we had a great time.
Ok the over all experience was bad,the rides aren't scary I only enjoyed one ride, and on one of them there's this mental thing u stand on and it was rusted and had plants growing out of it. The lazy river smelled like pee,We got in the wave pool and me and my friend started drowning and screaming and the life guards didnt save us ,a random man had to saved us after 4 minutes of us inhaling water and splashing (i forgot to report it to the front desk. Because i just wanted to leave) ,the food is over priced and the great wolf lodge was 100 times better. I do not recommend what so ever it wasnt worth the money ,time or sunburn.
Great day at Adventure Island. we went on a weekday and mostly experienced no queue at the tubes and other rides. it was perfect, good sensations even with a 6Yo. some storm alerts due to thunder, park closed rides 3 times in the afternoon but quickly opened once the alert ended.
Our family drove **4 hours** to Adventure Island expecting an amazing day with our kids, but it turned into one of the most frustrating theme park experiences we've ever had. The problems started before we even arrived. I purchased our tickets online, but the website never sent a confirmation email or the tickets. At Customer Service, the employee told me this was a common issue and joked that the confirmation email might not arrive until the following week. They eventually had to locate our order manually using our names. From there, it was one long line after another. We waited about an hour just to enter the park, another 20 minutes at Customer Service, another hour for food after purchasing the All-Day Dining package, more time dealing with locker issues, and then found attractions closing or unavailable—including the Lazy River with no tubes and additional ride closures. By the time we were finally ready to enjoy the park, most of the day had already been wasted. Our children were exhausted and crying, and we ended up leaving without being able to enjoy virtually anything we had paid for. In total, we spent **$467.44** on tickets, dining, parking, and lockers for a day that consisted almost entirely of waiting in lines and dealing with operational problems. The most disappointing part came afterward. I contacted Adventure Island hoping they would stand behind their customer experience and issue a refund. Despite explaining everything in detail, they refused to refund us. This was supposed to be a memorable family vacation. Instead, it became an expensive lesson. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Adventure Island to other families.
This place is a total scam. We went two weeks ago and shortly after entry they closed the park for weather. We were told we qualify for their weather policy, to be able to return another day. I submitted a weather request on their website, as instructed by staff immediately. After a few days of not hearing back, I sent a follow-up... still have not heard back. I called and one time and after waiting on hold for a very long time, the person that took my call laughed and then hung up on me almost immediately. I have tried to call back but am always stuck in hour long call lines. Terrible customer service and they do not withhold their promise. Spent $100 to be ghosted.
The parking wasn’t the only problem, but the wait was a hour or 45 mins. The people need to focus. The whole food court was out of order and dipping dots was out of stock they had none of each favor. Don’t even get me started on the bathrooms they were dirty and someone threw something of mine. The line for just water was all most the whole park. This was crazy my friends were so excited they couldn’t sleep now we regret it. The money that was gone was a lot. Staff didn’t even help us.
Purchased on sale tickets for four around $50 a ticket. Disappointed to find out the parking was over $40 for the most basic option. Came early about 40 minutes before the park opened. It’s a holiday weekend, so there was already a line of cars backing up just to turn into the park. Took a while to make our way up to the parking lot and then we stood a good 30 minutes in a long line to enter the park waiting for it to open. It flowed pretty quickly after that. The lazy river did seem kind of dirty as to the wave pool even though we got there fairly early in the day. There were Band-Aids and other random things all over the floors that seemed to have been left from the day before. The lines for the rides didn’t seem that bad so at least that part was good. The worst experience was ordering food. You can’t bring your own food into the park so you are forced to eat whatever they sell. We were hungry around 11 AM so I thought that would be a good time to go get lunch. Let’s just say that it took almost an hour and a half to stand in line order wait for the food and finally get our food. In sweltering weather. There has got to be a better way to do things or at least have many more open registers. The food was also very expensive and the portions were small. I also ordered something and then I was told later that they didn’t have that available. It wasn’t as horrific of an experience as some people have written, but I don’t think we’ll be back. It’s way too expensive for the quality of the experience you’re getting. Both Disney water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, are a better experience.
Our experience was very disappointing. The park was extremely crowded, to the point that by 2:00 p.m. it was barely possible to walk through the aisles. The lines to enter the attractions were miles long, and even so, they continued to allow more people in. I believe they should control the capacity so that visitors can enjoy a safe and pleasant experience. We paid for an entry to enjoy the park, not to spend the day waiting in lines and unable to move. Very disappointed.
Entering and Existing was horrible! Waited over an hour to exit. No traffic was moving. They need to schedule traffic control to be able to get out or open more exits. Will be a long time before I go back.
This waterpark was very disappointing. I was sent three different places to get wrist band bands for dining wristbands. Each place told me something different. Then we found out it is a very limited menu. Also they were out of the food. Then any other food is not included. The food was terrible and very small portions. It is definitely not worth it. Bring your own food and say you are on a special diet. The water is dirty after the first couple hours. So were the bathrooms.
