Le musée ethnographique de l'université d'Addis-Abeba est installé dans l'ancien palais de l'empereur Haïlé Sélassié.
Ici, nous visiterons le squelette de l'une de nos plus anciennes ancêtres hominidés, Lucy, qui a vécu il y a 3,2 millions d'années !
Dans la matinée, nous monterons jusqu'au mont Entoto à travers les eucalyptus, et admirerons des vues spectaculaires d'Addis-Abeba d'en haut.Tandis que sur le mont Entoto, nous visiterons également l'église Entoto Maryam, le palais original de l'empereur Menelik II.
Nous nous arrêterons brièvement à l'église Saint-Georges en route pour Merkato!
Après la Sainte Trinité, nous visiterons ensuite la crypte de l'empereur Ménélik, qui est enterré avec sa femme et sa fille, à la tranquille église Bata Miriam.
Nous terminons la journée au bouillonnant Merkato, le plus grand marché en plein air d’Afrique !

Daniel was an incredibly good tour guide. He tailored the tour to what I was interested in exploring. He is very knowledgeable on the historical facts, plus he gave me a little parting gift. I really appreciate his dedication.
Daniel and his driver friend Ahati did a wonderful job of guiding me through the city, slowing down to allow me to get pictures of monuments and adding in a museum (the Red Terror Museum) at my request. Daniel had good knowledge of the content without being too overwhelming. Communication was good and they even arrived at my hotel early. I totally recommend this tour as a time efficient way to visit the most important sites of Addis Ababa as navigating the traffic on your own would be difficult as a visitor.
Had an amazing day tour of Addis Ababa with Daniel. He was very flexible and customized the itinerary to my interests and availability. He knows the city very well and patiently explained everything about the sites we visited in detail. He was also open to making stops along the way as per my wish, such as restaurants and coffee shops. We went to the national museum of Ethiopia, the Ethnological museum and also to Beta Maryam Church where we were able to see the tomb of Menelik II Daniel was a great companion for the tour, with his perfect English and knowledge of Ethiopian history.
