Muhammad by far one of the best tour guides we had during this trip. He absolutely killed it. He made sure that we went to every site that we wanted to see and even took the time to have dinner with us. He made every effort to make our trip amazing.
We took the option of going to the pyramids and Alexanddria, was a pleasant trip with the tour guide, Sherif. He was helpful and recommended us some really good food places in Cairo and Alexandria
Ahmed Nofal was a great tour guide. Knowledgeable about every tourist sight in Egypt. He took great care of us and was very welcomming. The trip was very good. I would recommend to upgrade to sleeping bed on the train from Cairo to Luxor/Aswan!
This tour was amazing and informative, made possible by the great tour guide Ahmed Nofal! He always kept in touch with plans for the day and the next. Passionate and knowledgeable about the culture. He is also very welcoming and fun and takes great pictures! Highly recommend having him as your guide! He accompanies you through transportation to each site and gives you free time to roam on your own.
Well organized stay, the guides and stakeholders involved in our care are dedicated and helpful. The tours are splendid, our guides whether in Cairo or in luxor are top. We have nothing organized they all do. Just the entrance tickets to the tourist sites not included provide Egyptian pounds because they accept only that. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask the guides The night train was a real cata, it was not the sleeper train but a train with reclining seats a full Clim so we were refrigerated and had 5 hours delay because of an accident that occurred 4 months ago according to the explanations of our guide (Cairo luxor 14h train and return Aswan Cairo 18h) We had a hotel in Cairo at the beginning of stay not very clean the big pyramids and another at the end of stay super Ramses Hilton both had free wifi the pool and breakfast. The cruise is very nice, the boat is clean, no free wifi on board. Swimming pool deckchair in the shade. Decent buffet restaurant with breakfast and dinner, negative side bottled water is charged even during meals.
Boat cruise to the top, very nice comfortable boat, clean Meals included except drinks (no water available) Very interesting visits, beautiful Abu Simbel. Our guide Karam was great, always accommodating and wanting to do the best to make the holiday as successful as possible, I recommend!
All in all, the tour were nice. Good organization, attentive staff online all the time. Our tour guide Ahmed Abbas were super attentive and well knowledgeable, very satisfied. You will have a better understanding of spectacular sights with guides explanation. It's a must to go Egypt with a guide. The time we've spent on the cruise were my favorite part. Beautiful view from the deck with new friends we made on the cruise were unforgettable. I need to mention about few things. 1), The first hotel we stayed in Cairo called the "Great pyramids hotel". As soon as we enter the room, we found long hair all over the room, dirty, old(not in good way), cracked, stinky pillows but we were so tiered, when we realized we were passed out on those pillows... I know the location is kind of close to the Pyramids but it was zero star hotel to be honest. I'll rather choose a better hotel with additional fee. 2), The night train from Cairo to Luxor. On the itinerary it saids "first class" but to be honest, it was not "first class". By the word "first class", I was expecting something wow but it was more like super old and dirty business class seats with absolute no privacy. Yes it had AC, but get ready, it's full blast. It's better to bring long sleeves and a blanket. Ah don't forget eye shades too, because the lights will be on all the time. In our case, we had a lady next to us coughing all the way for 12 hours. Would be nice if we could choose a flight with additional fee instead. 3), Additional city tour in Luxor. We got offered for Luxor city tour once we got to the cruise ship. It was 40USD ish per head. The tour it self were nothing special, 45 min in the coach(horse carriage?). It was just ok, nothing special. We don't really recommend it. 4), Hot air balloon tour in Luxor. This excursion as well was offered once we got to the cruise ship. Price were like 80USD ish per head. Super early in the morning but beautiful scenery, great ambiance, satisfied experience. Strongly recommend this optional excursion. Don't forget to prepare some meds for diarrhea, motion sickness, upset stomach, and many small notes, because you will need to tip everyone around, specially in the cruise(They will literally chase you). I strongly recommend to travel in the winter. It is exhausting and physically hard to stay outside in the summer heat(45 degrees and above)... Lastly, it's not a big deal but would be nice if viator provides a bit more detailed itinerary about time. At least mention morning, mid day, evening.
As an American traveling solo to Egypt, booking this tour package was the best decision I made. I was taken care of from the second I landed. The cruise was really nice and the views of the Nile were spectacular. The guides were exceptional - especially Michael in Aswan and Bishoi in Luxor. These two were very passionate about ancient Egypt history and I had a blast learning so much. This tour company went above and beyond to provide a great experience and I would highly recommend them if you’re planning a Egypt visit.
Fantastic trip, I highly recommend the tour! You get the opportunity to visit the most famous spots in Egypt and to take a cruise down the Nile which was a great experience. The lodging, the staff, the guides were absolutely great. The agency responded quickly to any information requested and offered great support during the tour. They did everything possible to make the tour a great experience, very helpful and nice :)
My friend and I enjoyed this tour and the coordinator/operators were extremely responsive and helpful, thus the 5 stars. The tour coordinator was extremely responsive throughout providing support and real-time help via WhatsApp, and the half-dozen+ tour guides or drivers we encountered at various locations are extremely knowledgeable and helpful explaining the ancient sites, picking us up from bus/train stations, and making sure we have very smooth transfers. First it's amazing to see ancient Egypt and this tour covers a ton of ground if you look on a map how far away Cairo/Giza is from Luxor-Aswan-AbuSimbel, and then to Hurghada. The Giza Pyramids and Sphinx were amazing and we added in an extra tour of Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid. The cruise from Luxor to Aswan is amazing, the calm Nile River has beautiful/breathtaking views on the cruise and we had wonderful experiences visiting Karnak (oldest temple in the world), Abu Simbel, and many other great stops in between. Hurghada is a beach town on the Red Sea and was a very fun a great way to end the tour on a boat snorkeling trip. But I'm also going to include some suggestions or watch-outs for future travelers. Entrance fees are not included, so plan for about $10 for each site, times about 8 or 9 different sites. Tipping is expected for everything, so have small bills ready for help/service. Street vendors are aggressive/badgering and jack up their souvenir quoted prices by 5-9X, so be prepared to bargain if you buy anything. Infrastructure is inconsistent in locations so do not expect western-quality lodging or trains. There will be constant badgering to sell you something from people you think are just being friendly. Cairo to Luxor is a super-long 10 hour overnight train ride which does not have a bed, it is a seat on an old train, so maybe ask about an overnight train ticket with a bed or a nicer GoBus ticket (I think the extra $10 would be worth it). Another long hike is after Abu Simbel, it takes 8-9 hours traveling to get up to Hurghada. Overall my friend and I enjoyed the tour and the tour operator was extremely responsive and helpful, checking in frequently, and the tour guides were all fantastic. I would highly recommend Egypt to anyone.
