L'excursion commence par une visite du vieux village de pêcheurs de « Taqah », célèbre pour la fabrication de « Sardines séchées » et ses anciennes et traditionnelles « Maisons Dhofari ». Visitez le « Château de Taqah », vieux d'un siècle, l'ancienne résidence officielle du « Wali » (gouverneur) de la région et obtenez un aperçu de la riche histoire de la région. Continuez vers les ruines antiques de la ville autrefois célèbre de Sumharam (Khor Rohri). Khor Rori était un port important sur la côte du Dhofar et l'une des principales villes commerçantes d'encens, (Patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO). Une route pittoresque vous amène ensuite à explorer le « Wadi Darbat toujours vert » pour une promenade relaxante le long du lit du Wadi, entouré de troupeaux de chameaux, de chèvres et de bovins. À L'OUEST DE SALALAH, visitez la plage de Mughsail où le sable blanc, où les vagues éclatent. à travers les « Blow Holes » titanesques naturels. Découvrez les « arbres à encens » historiques qui poussent dans leur habitat naturel. Remarque : frais d'entrée au château de Taqa et à Sumharam 3 OMR, non inclus.

Wadi Darbat est une splendide vallée verdoyante avec une rivière qui coule au milieu. Les collines environnantes ont de petites grottes dans lesquelles les gens peuvent faire de la randonnée. C'est l'endroit idéal pour un petit pique-nique en famille ou une réunion amicale. Pendant le Khareef (saison de la mousson), le wadi regorge d'habitants et de touristes venus profiter du paysage
Les anciennes ruines de la célèbre ville de Sumharam (Khor Rohri). La ville était l'avant-poste le plus à l'est du royaume d'Hadramawt sur l'ancienne route de l'encens entre la mer Méditerranée, le golfe Persique et l'Inde. Khor Rori était un port important sur la côte du Dhofar et l'une des principales villes commerçantes d'encens, qui aurait été la plaque tournante et le port d'expédition de l'encens (site du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO).
Le château de Taqah, construit au 19ème siècle, a été utilisé comme bureau et résidence du Wali de Taqah jusqu'en 1970

I had an absolutely fantastic time on the West and East Salalah tour with Ahmed. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable (great tips how to correctly prepare camel meat), but he also shared fascinating stories that you won’t find in any guidebook. Ahmed was reassuring and attentive, which was very important to me as a solo female traveller. If you are planning a trip, do yourself a favor and book with Glory Tours, you will love it!
I really enjoyed my time with the tour guide. They were welcoming, generous, and kind. I learned about local culture and visited many of the area’s top attractions, including: Full day — east of Salalah: Taqah Beach, Taqah Plateau, the anti-gravity site, Ayn Ashir (spring water), baobab trees, Jebel Samhan Plateau, and Wadi Darbat. Full day — west of Salalah: Mughsail Blowholes, frankincense trees, Fazqyah Beach, flamingos, and Aftalkat. I felt safe and well looked after. I will definitely travel with this tour organization again.
Swimming in a beach just for us with fine white sand is priceless khalid our guide took us to see all the beaches then asked us to choose and put a parasol with snacks available to us. Always attentive to every need, very kind and a great guide took us to see the quarries with gaisers and dromedaries.

Just finished an amazing tour with Glory Tours in Salalah! We explored both the East and West of Salalah, and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and flexible with the schedule.
