Here again we hired an agency but the bus said otherwise. The good but demanding guide. The hike is complex because you are given only 6 hours for the entire journey including breaks. Very beautiful place.
A great experience: despite being quite tired the walk consists of three hours out and three back. However, the reward is indescribable... one of the best landscapes I have ever visited in Peru.

I visited Chavin de Huantar, Rocotuyoc lagoon with a lagoon in the process of thawing, the lagoons in Llanganuco and lagoon 69. You would do better to book this tour directly with “Esperanza tours” which is the tour agency that actually takes you to the mountain. The agency here on viator is not directly involved and overcharges with hard currency. Despite the description that promises a “round trip” the journey ends in the city center where they ask all the passengers on board to get off and go home on their own. Added to this, they were late for the early morning pickup which is annoying as they give you a timeframe of 5h-5.20am where you “have to be ready” however they arrived 15 min later.
