Excursion d'une journée à Sakkara, Memphis et Dahshur Votre guide pour la journée viendra vous chercher et commencera votre visite guidée par une promenade à travers la campagne jusqu'à Sakkara pour voir la pyramide Step - la première pyramide à être construite et les monuments environnants. Votre guide vous donnera un historique détaillé sur Imhotep, l'architecte égyptien qui a créé cette pyramide et comment il a accompli cette entreprise majeure. Quand nous aurons fini d'explorer cette région, nous visiterons la pyramide de Teti avec ses textes inscrits, et plusieurs tombes privées.
La pyramide de Téti, située à Saqqara, en Égypte, est une ancienne structure captivante construite comme lieu de repos final pour le pharaon Téti. Témoignant de l'ingéniosité et des prouesses architecturales de l'Ancien Empire, cette pyramide attire des visiteurs du monde entier par sa taille impressionnante et son importance historique. Suit une visite au musée en plein air de Memphis où le colosse de Ramsès II, la plus grande statue de Ramsès le Grand peut être vu à l'endroit où il a été découvert, voir le Sphinx d'Albâtre à côté.
La pyramide rouge et la pyramide coudée se trouvent à environ 2 km au sud de Mastaba Faraoun. Le constructeur de ces pyramides aurait été Snofru (2575 - 2551 av. J.-C.), qui fut le premier souverain de la 4ème dynastie. Snofru a construit ces deux pyramides et aurait construit la pyramide à Maidoun. Son fils était Cheops qui a poursuivi ses tendances constructives. Sur le chemin du retour au Caire, nous nous arrêterons à une école de confection de tapis locale où vous verrez les enfants aux doigts de main agiles tisser des tapis et des tentures murales. À la fin de la journée, retour à l'hôtel.

Had a beautiful day with Shadi, he knows a lot about the history of Sakkara and Dahshur and the stops were long enough. We did the Papyrus and Carpet museum too, with a nice private guide. Optional buying, felt no pressure to do so. Great day!

Let me begin with the fact that we had a great Holiday in Egypt. lovely people so I won't let this one bad exp undermine our positive experience. We booked a day trip for saqqara, dashur and memphis which under heading said with lunch. When asked about it, we were told that it is extra service and it is just the title "a day trip with lunch". This is misleading, and no one takes the ownership. Is it the viator, driver, or the owner of the car or manager. They would keep passing the buck. To make the matter worse, the car cum trip owner started bombarding me with whatsApp messages, screenshots and was extremely rude accusing me of paying low and demand service. I chose not to retaliate. Our bad exp contd. When we reached Memphis, the entry was closed because we reached 10 mts late. Driver who was very good, but did not know the timings at all. This happened despite we not spending any extra time on any of the sites like dashur or saaquara. We did not even enter the pyramids, did not stop for lunch and yet we missed it and no one informed us about the timings. We lost time because they invariably make you stop at various shopping places, whether u want or not. Not good. I expect the owner to once again retaliate post my review as he has done with other customers. Our driver John was very good though and we still made the best of time we had together. As I said, we had a good time overall in Egypt.
