Cette incroyable aventure nous emmène à Bwindi ‘The Impenetrable Forest’ (Forêt impénétrable), à l’extrême pointe sud-ouest montagneuse de l’Ouganda, où vous aurez l’occasion de suivre des gorilles de montagne. La visite vous donne l'occasion de sortir de la bulle du véhicule et de marcher avec un guide local pendant que vous explorez la campagne grâce à notre activité de commerce équitable qui soutient les jeunes de cette communauté du sud-ouest ougandais. Vous pourrez interagir avec les habitants et dormir dans un éco-lodge offrant une vue superbe sur la forêt de Bwindi, les volcans Virunga et la vallée du Rift Albertine, un paysage magnifique qui restera à jamais gravé dans votre mémoire.

Itinéraire
Vol AeroLink vers Kisoro, randonnée et canoë sur le lac Mutanda Vous vous «installez» ensuite dans une pirogue pour 2-3 heures de croisière douce et détendue sur le lac, en profitant du magnifique paysage. Après le déjeuner dans un restaurant au bord du lac, continuation à pied jusqu'à Rubuguri (9 km - 2/3 heures) où vous rencontrez le véhicule et roulez encore 10 km jusqu'au Lodge à Nkuringo (environ 1 heure). Bien sûr, vous pouvez également être pris en charge par le véhicule au bord du lac et conduire jusqu'au Lodge.
Après le petit-déjeuner, vers 7h45, avec un panier-repas et de l'eau potable, vous serez transféré au quartier général du parc national pour un briefing sur les choses à faire et à ne pas faire avec les gorilles. Vous continuez ensuite vers la forêt pour le début du véritable suivi des gorilles.
Ce matin, après un copieux petit-déjeuner, appréciez l'observation des oiseaux dans la forêt de Nombe Pocket, qui faisait partie du parc national impénétrable de Bwindi et qui est encore assez impénétrable, mais elle en a été coupée car les habitants avaient besoin de plus de terres pour vivre et les cultiver. Il peut être atteint à pied (environ 1 heure et 2 heures pour revenir) ou en voiture et la visite dure environ 1 heure. 2 heures, selon l'intérêt des invités. Déjeuner au lodge et à 14h00, départ pour Buniga Forest Trail Walk, un projet informatif mené par l'USAID et la communauté locale Batwa. La tribu des Batwa a été forcée de quitter son domicile dans le parc national de la forêt impénétrable de Bwindi en 1991, lorsqu'elle a été déclarée site du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO pour les gorilles uniquement. Ils vivaient dans la forêt en tant que chasseurs-cueilleurs nomades depuis des millénaires, en parfait équilibre avec la faune et la flore environnantes. Déménager et vivre soudainement dans des communautés ayant un mode de vie complètement différent s'est révélé être un énorme défi. Ils survivent maintenant du mieux possible et gagnent leur vie en expliquant leur vie passée dans la forêt et leur riche patrimoine. Continuation de la promenade dans la communauté pour rendre visite à l'herboriste traditionnel et au forgeron noir.
Petit-déjeuner matinal et transfert vers la piste d'atterrissage de Kisoro pour votre vol AeroLink du matin à destination d'Entebbe. Fin des services. En fonction de votre vol de départ, profitez de la journée / de la nuitée au Papyrus Guest House ou attendez votre vol de départ à l'aéroport.

Everything about this 5 day experience was top notch. Remmy was an incredible guide - great energy, good vibes, helpful, knowledgeable, & always kept us feeling safe. Lodges were beautiful with great service & of course the animals/wild life did not disappoint. Added some optional hikes/walks to keep us active. The trip was unbelievable. The itinerary was thoughtfully packed with amazing activities and beautiful scenic drives that made travel time enjoyable. The gorilla and chimpanzee trekking experiences were truly once-in-a-lifetime moments that we will never forget. Our guide Remmy was the best tour guide we could have asked for during our trip to Uganda. He was always prompt, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. He truly made the entire experience special. We felt comfortable with him right away, and by the end of the trip, it honestly felt like we were traveling with family. We spent a week being guided by Remmy across both Uganda and Rwanda to do a gorilla habituation experience in Uganda and a ‘normal’ gorilla experience in Rwanda (both of which are very worth it). We had the most incredible 5-day trip with Nkuringo Safaris to Bwindi National Park to see the gorillas: truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Highly recommended! I found Nkuringo safaris after doing a ton of research online, and the gorilla trekking was something my mom and I had been elated to add as the end of our trip after a week long safari in Tanzania (with a different provider). From first contact to last dropoff, the one word I would use to describe our time with Nkkuringo Safaris in Uganda was *SEAMLESS*. Incredible experience. Attentive to every detail, top level personalized to ensure you’re comfortable, safe, that any unforeseen events are resolved (like luggage arriving late, losing money, needing extra help during tracking ). Took care of everything since I arrived at the airport till I checked in at the end. Hotels were extra comfortable and instagrammable! Emma, my guide, made sure I had enough water, food, the right attire… more than I did! He even gave me a history lesson when I asked, and we talked music and discussed human nature. We laughed maybe too much. Excellent road trip partner. 100% recommended

This trip was AMAZING!! Moreen helped create a perfect itinerary, she was quick to respond and communicated everything clearly, and helped us when our flight was delayed so that we wouldn’t miss a minute of our trip. We also had the pleasure of working with Milton who was fantastic!
