5 jours d'aperçu du Bhoutan

Description

I highly recommend this travel agency and guides. I was due to travel in May but due to an injury had to reschedule, Mr Karma changed our visas, flights and tour dates promptly and efficiently. Then when we were due to take our tour political unrest meant it as unadvisable to fly though Kathmandu, he once again changed our visas, flights and tour dates at short notice. Our itinerary and guide and driver were excellent. Our guide Norbu was very knowledgeable, and our driver Nidup drove us safely around the Kingdom. Their humour and deeply caring natures made our trip very enjoyable. The homestay was a highlight of the tour. If you are considering a trip to Bhutan I would not look past this company. Thank you very much for your care and support.
Absolutely incredible tour with the best tour guide Lobzang. Acorn got everything spot on, best mix of culture, nature and trekking. Accommodation and food choices were impeccable. Car was really comfortable which is important for the journeys across Bhutan. Our guide Lobzang was so knowledgeable and took care of our requirements perfectly. If you want a more authentic experience go for local accommodation who provide really good organic tasty food
I have given this review a lot of thought - firstly the positives: The tour operator, Bhutan Acorn, the guide and the driver were preparing a good itinerary. Specifically my guide went above and beyond when staying out all night on my first day to drive me home after watching a football match from 9 pm to 11 pm. This is far out of the itinerary and deserves a lot of respect. The driver was amazingly navigating the roads of Bhutan which are at times not necessarily made for the kind of traffic they get nowadays. On the downside, the travel itinerary (outside of my football match, which I looked up on my own) was pretty much fixated on the outlined itinerary points and if these were done there were not many suggestions as to add some things additionally, also the end had a slight negative experience when I had to pay for the included National Museum ticket, which is not an issue in and for itself, but when the itinerary states that it is included, it should be. Finally the architecture is very much monotonous, so after you got used to it after two - to three days it is somewhat not that exciting anymore. Nonetheless, the trip was amazing and I am more than happy having participated in the tour
Dear Ruben, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for choosing Viator and Bhutan Acorn Tours & Travel to organize your recent trip to Bhutan. We truly appreciate the opportunity to serve you and thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. Your input is invaluable in our efforts to continually improve our services. Regarding the entry fee for the National Museum, I apologize for the oversight. The fee was indeed included in the package price, as outlined in your itinerary, and our guide should have covered it on your behalf. If you’re based in the USA, I would be more than happy to reimburse you the equivalent amount in USD. Integrity and transparency are central to our operations, and we would never intentionally mislead or misrepresent our services. Your trust and satisfaction are of the utmost importance to us, and we are committed to upholding honesty and openness in all our business practices. We’re also delighted to hear that you appreciated the efforts of our guide and driver. While their usual working hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, our guide gladly extended his hours to accompany you until midnight to witness football match—a gesture that reflects our dedication to making your experience exceptional. Thank you once again for your trust and for allowing us to be part of your Bhutan journey. Warm regards, Karma & Team Bhutan Acorn
I would highly recommend Butan Acorn Tours and Travel. Form the start to finish Karma was excellent at amending the tour to suit your needs. Karma is diligent, friendly and trustworthy in all his interactions. Norbu my guide was a great person and had an excellent knowledge of Bhutanese/ Buddhist culture and history and was really friendly, respectful and enjoyable company, you could not get a better guide for Bhutan. Sonam, our driver, was a really nice person also who had great insights into local Bhutanese life as well as being very friendly and respectful. If you are thinking of booking a tour in Bhutan definitely choose Acorn Tours!
It is the happiest country I have ever been to. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe and in awe throughout the trip! The daily schedule was designed in such a way that it offered cultural visits, beautiful treks, and free time! Tashi, my guide, was just outstanding. His enthusiasm for Bhutanese culture and his desire to bring the gorgeousness and history of the country in front was extraordinary. He made each site visit enriching and engaging with his knowledge and enthusiasm :) He also cared for me to ensure that I was always comfortable and having fun, providing me with all my questions answered. Nidup, my driver, was also very good; I could not have asked for a better driver than him. Besides my comfort, he was also very careful while driving, making me feel safe. Furthermore, his friendliness was an extra plus that put a lot of creativity into the journey. All my hotels were comfortable and luxurious and made me feel quite homely. All the places that I came across were as charming as the others. The meals always tasted great, with a blend of Bhutanese dishes and continental! The most memorable part of the tour was the walk to Taktsang Monastery. The scenic views were incredible and left me speechless! I recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Bhutan! I am already looking forward to returning as soon as possible!!!!
Superb guide and driver. Helpful. Friendly. Well organised. Knowledgeable. Would not hesitate to recommended them. Felt in very safe hands.
This was a great tour! Acorn Tours did a phenomenal job with everything :D The days were really busy, but they were pretty flexible if we wanted to switch things around.
I spent 5 wonderful days in Bhutan thanks to Bhutan Acorn Tours. Already before the travel they were super helpful - they took care of every detail of my visa, helped me to change my flight ticket and gave me useful tips to prepare my travel. They even recommended me where to sit in the plan for te best views on the Himalaya. :) I was warmly welcomed by Lhamo, my guide at the airport and she took absolutely best care of me all the time. She is young, dynamic, and treated the itinerary with absolute flexibility, easily adjusting to my requests or interests. She didnt hesitate to jump with me on a rafting boat, lend me her beautiful traditional dress for a photo, or dance with me in a karaoke bar. While she was fully knowledgable, and I learnt so much about this fascinating country and its culture, she also brought me close to the people, I hiked and ate with her local friends, many of them who are buddhist monks, and learnt incredibly much about, and experienced first-handly, buddhism. These holidays, while they were short, they couldnt have been fuller in terms of the experiences, the knowledge I gained and the fun we had. A big shoutout to Karma, the organiser, who also proved to be very reliable and caring all the time. I cannot recommend this agency enough and I am already thinking when to come back next.
We had an exceptional experience! Bhutan is a beautiful country steeped in ancient traditions. Our guides Norbu & Tensing were the most courteous, genuine & good natured people. Nothing was too much trouble. All the accommodation was very comfortable. The hike to the Tigers Nest was such a memorable experIence. We highly recommend this trip!
This was a brief but wonderful trip into a unique country. I travelled with my 40-year old son and although we had not booked a private trip, there were only the two of us on it. We covered a huge amount of ground in the five days and, if the highlight was the trek up to Tiger’s Nest Monastery, everything we did was interesting. We especially like the stay in the remote farmstead. Our guide Tashie was superb - a mine of information and very helpful in all ways. The hotels were clean and comfortable, if fairly basic as regards facilities. I would absolutely commend this trip for someone with limited time, but who wanted a very good introduction to this extraordinary country and culture
