Cette visite rapide est idéale si vous manquez de temps et souhaitez voir autant de la ville que possible, ou si vous avez effectué plusieurs visites plus longues et souhaitez simplement voir les points forts du Garden District. C'est une excursion amusante et rapide à travers ce quartier unique et historique. Il s'agit d'une visite très visuelle, moins axée sur la narration ou l'histoire, mais votre guide vous donnera un bref aperçu de l'histoire et vous indiquera les éléments architecturaux. Nous couvrons toutes les maisons les plus impressionnantes du Garden District et incluons un arrêt au cimetière Lafayette n°1. Le cimetière est fermé, mais les portes sont suffisamment larges pour voir à l'intérieur et prendre de superbes photos !

Jetez un œil à l'intérieur des portes du cimetière Lafayette n°1, l'un des cimetières hors sol les plus célèbres de la Nouvelle-Orléans. Le cimetière est fermé au public depuis 2019 mais les portes sont belles et larges pour que votre guide puisse vous montrer ce joli lieu historique et sacré.
Explorez les élégantes demeures du XIXe siècle, les jardins subtropicaux luxuriants et les ferronneries complexes du célèbre Garden District, paisible et ombragé. Ce quartier a été le lieu de tournage de dizaines d'émissions de télévision et de films (NCIS : New Orleans, American Horror Story, Double Jeopardy, Drake's In My Feelings. The Mayfair Witches, Your Honor, Django Unchained et bien d'autres) et abrite aujourd'hui à pas mal de célébrités. Au cours de cette visite éclair de 45 minutes, votre guide vous mènera à tous les meilleurs endroits de ce quartier historique établi après l'achat de la Louisiane, alors que la Nouvelle-Orléans commençait à développer son identité américaine.

Libby gave us a great, succinct history of New Orleans and how the neighborhood came to be. It was the perfect length for us at a tight 45min - as we had dinner plans but still wanted to get some of the great history of the city.

My husband and I visited NOLA for the first time to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We wanted to get away from Bourbon St. for a bit before our dinner reservation. This tour was just perfect and exactly what we were looking for. It is not a huge time commitment but we still felt like we saw and learned a lot in a short period of time. We loved seeing the beautiful homes and learning about the history of Nola. Libby was awesome. She has a great energy and is very knowledgeable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this tour!

Shorter walking tour of the Garden District covered all the highlights. James was very knowledgeable and personable. Considering we were the only ones on the tour, he provided some personalized information and recommendations. Highly recommend.

This tour is well worth the price ($22/person) and everything we wanted in seeing the garden district: quick (1 hour), informative & fun. The tour guide, Libby is a former teacher & 10th generation, knew all the history as well as the modern fun facts like which celebrities live where. She was funny and interesting. This tour is a great way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommended!
