We had an absolutely wonderful time on the mangrove kayak tour in Qatar. Spending two hours out on the water was not only incredibly peaceful but also a great workout—paddling through the calm channels of the mangroves felt both refreshing and rewarding. Our mangrove guide was informative and ensured we planned our tour for high tide, which truly is the best time to go. The higher water level allowed us to glide smoothly through the mangrove paths and see the landscape at its most beautiful. Our driver for the private transfer to and from Doha (about 45 minutes each way) was especially helpful—going above and beyond to make the journey smooth and comfortable. Their extra assistance added an unexpected layer of ease to the entire experience. The small touches made the tour even better—refreshments, including chilled water bottles and juices, were very welcome after time spent paddling under the sun. For anyone looking to experience something authentic and see a different side of Qatar’s natural landscape, this tour is ideal.

Excellent days kayaking, hotel pick up on time and guide ( gokal ) very friendly and informative. Loads of refreshments when we got back and all at a very reasonable price. Will definitely return next time I'm in Qatar. Highly recommended

Zafar We are family of four and had safari for 4 hours. We enjoyed the ride thoroughly and kids had really nice time.. We feel very safe during the dune dash and it's an unforgettable experience.. Experienced beautiful sun set, camel ride and beach side view. Zafar Very patiently took to all the places
We were picked up from our hotel by Mohamed, who was friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. During the drive to Al Thakira Mangroves Forest, he shared insights about the local area and landmarks, which made the journey enjoyable and informative. Upon arrival, we began our private kayaking tour with our guide, Prince. He was very knowledgeable and attentive to our pace. He guided us through the mangrove channels and then to Purple Island. Prince shared fascinating information about the mangrove ecosystem, Purple Island’s history, and how water movement changes with the seasons. After returning to shore, we enjoyed tea before saying our farewells. On the way back to Doha, Mohamed made a thoughtful stop so we could try traditional Arabian coffee and his favorite local dessert which was delicious and very much appreciated. We had a great afternoon and would highly recommend this tour. Both Prince and Mohamed truly enhanced the experience with their warmth, knowledge, and hospitality. We will definitely look to book another tour, especially Mohamed’s desert safari and dune bashing, on our next visit to Doha.
We are a family of 4, with two kids aged 7y and 4y. We did this tour to have a little of adventure in the nature, outside of the skycrapes of Doha. The tour was great, the kayak is very easy to handle and the area is nice. While the sun may be strong, the contact with water provides always relief. Overall it’s two hours in the mangrove and you can stay for longer for BBQ if you want You can organize this on your own (get self transportation to the kayak centre). We opted for a full tour with pick-up and drop-off to our hotel in Doha. The guides (Mohammed who picked us in Doha and Mohammed, guiding kayaking) were always extremely friendly and nice. In particular, Mohammed told us lot of interesting facts as we were driving throgh Doha and he made the journey north to allow to see the key landmarks and stadiums. I really reccomend as an activity with kids or teenagers
What a spectecular tour. An experience for lifetime. Everything was perfectly organised. We where picked up by Mohamed in time and he explained us so much on our drive to the camp. The kayak tour was unbelievable. What a great place. A big thank you to our guide and all the others. You made this trip to a memory for lifetime for us.
Transfer from and to the hotel went great. Once at the camp, the guides are very nice. The tour is rather unspectacular. The sunset on the lake is beautiful. All in all, only do it when everything else has already been done.
