4-Day: Vallée sacrée, Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain et Humantay

We did a custom private tour package with Exploor in Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Cusco. Overall it was fabulous, truly! The services, drivers, transfer agents, and guides were all really wonderful, especially Junior! The food was awesome, really the meals were top-notch. And of course the tours and sites were just spectacular, we learned so much about the history and culture, it was fascinating.

All the places we went were exceptional. Restaurants amazing, the tour guides incredible. From when they picked us up from the airport to when they dropped us back to the airport. Everything was very well organized. Incredible experience. I’ll definitely book a trip with them again.

Peru is an amazing country, but our experience wouldn’t have been nearly as great if it weren’t for Exploor. From booking, to airport pickups/drops offs, to excursions and everything in between - our trip was exceptional in every way. Our driver Freddy, and our guides Gris and Joel were friendly, knowledgeable and always on time. I loved not having to think about a thing, and feeling like they always had us taken care of. My biggest complaint is that I can’t use Exploor to book every single trip I go on!! Thank you to the Exploor team for a wonderful week exploring Peru!

Walter C – Lima, Paracas & Huacachina Walter was the best way to kick off our Peru trip! From the moment he met us at the airport, everything just felt easy and taken care of. His love for Peruvian culture really shines through — he doesn’t just show you the sites, he helps you feel them. From wandering through the colorful Pisac market to seeing the amazing terraces of Moray and Ollantaytambo, Maiki shared stories that stuck with us. He was patient, kind, and so attentive as we got used to the altitude (and yes, Agua de Florida helped!). We left feeling like we’d truly connected with the history of the place — all thanks to Maiki. Grimaldo – Machu Picchu Tour Grimaldo made our Machu Picchu experience one we’ll never forget. He’s calm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the history of this incredible site. He let us explore at our own pace and made sure we understood the meaning behind what we were seeing — not just the beauty of it. He even helped us find the best photo spots! Thanks to Grimaldo, this dream destination felt even more magical. Gris – Cusco City tour & Rainbow Mountain hike Gris was such a joy to explore with! Her city tour of Cusco was the perfect mix of history, humor, and local insight. She brought places like Qorikancha and Sacsayhuaman to life with her storytelling. And on our Rainbow Mountain hike, she was caring, encouraging, and kept us motivated every step of the way. We felt so safe and supported the whole time. Gris truly ended our Peru trip on a high note — both literally and figuratively! Exploor Exploor did an amazing job organizing everything — super professional, always on time, and so personal in their approach. Their daily communication on WhatsApp helped us prepare in advance for each day. Every part of the trip ran smoothly. Highly recommend them for anyone planning to explore Peru!

Our first time in Peru turned out way better than we ever imagined, all thanks to Exploor. Everything was smooth, stress free, and honestly felt like we didn’t have to worry about a thing, they had it all handled. Safety and fun were clearly the priority, which made it easy for us to just enjoy and laugh our way through the whole adventure. Special shoutout to Maike, this guy is incredible. He didn’t just guide us, he walked with us all the way up Rainbow Mountain and into the Red Valley (which literally looks like it was pulled out of a postcard). Honestly, it was way harder for me than Machu Picchu, but Maike was right there cheering me on the whole way. He was even had an oxygen tank in his backpack for us and kept checking our levels so we always felt safe and comfortable. His passion, energy, and care made the experience unforgettable. And then there’s Grimaldo, who walked every step with us to Machu Picchu (while my lungs were still arguing with the altitude 🤦‍♂️). He was patient, flexible with our limits, and such a good companion on the trail. Highlights? Too many, but here are a few: Hot chocolate before Rainbow Mountain (pretty sure it gave me superpowers for like 10 minutes) Machu Picchu, of course, the crown jewel The salt mines and Moray in the Sacred Valley Ollantaytambo temple Playing Sapo, the coin toss frog game that’s way more addictive than it sounds And my personal favorite, the jaw dropping Mountain View Experience in Maras. Felt like a living in a dream! At the end of the day, what made this trip so special were the people. Maike is truly one of a kind, he made us feel safe, encouraged, and excited every single day, and he has so much love for what he does that it’s impossible not to feel it. Grimaldo was just as amazing, walking with us to Machu Picchu with so much patience and kindness, and making sure we enjoyed the journey at our own pace. And of course, our drivers, John and the other kind gentleman whose name escapes me, thank you for keeping us safe on the road and getting us everywhere with such ease. So yeah, altitude sickness is very real. That’s why you want a travel partner like Exploor, who takes care of everything while you focus on making memories that will last a lifetime. I’ll always be grateful to Exploor, but especially to Maike, for making this trip one I’ll never forget ❤️ And by the way, I officially nominate Maike as Best Guide of the Year… and possibly of ever 🏆

We made this trip as a family and we are beyond happy with the experience! The Exploor team was exceptional. The itinerary, tickets, and times were sent one day ahead.
