Alors que le soleil commence sa descente à l'horizon, les magnifiques dunes de l'Erg Chebbi, à seulement 50 km au sud d'Erfoud, offrent un panorama vraiment époustouflant. La légende raconte qu'une riche famille locale a été enterrée sous ces immenses monticules de sable, comme punition pour avoir refusé l'hospitalité à une pauvre femme et à son fils. Dominant 160 mètres d'altitude, ces dunes s'élèvent majestueusement au-dessus des villes jumelles de Merzouga, affichant une superbe teinte or rose qui scintille à la lumière du soleil. En fin d'après-midi, alors que la lumière chaude caresse le sable, les dunes subissent une transformation magique, passant de l'or rose à des tons vifs d'orange, de rose et de violet. Ce spectacle captivant n'est pas seulement un spectacle mais une expérience qui laissera une impression inoubliable sur votre âme.

This 3-day Sahara trip from Marrakech to Merzouga was just fantastic! Start to finish, everything was elegantly planned, safe, and genuinely scenic. The High Atlas Mountain ride and stops at Ait Ben Haddou and Dades Valley added so much cultural depth to the experience. The highlight of the trip, of course, was the camel trek into the Merzouga dunes. Looking out over the sunset across the Sahara, and camping overnight in a beautiful desert camp under the stars — simply unforgettable. Spotless camp, beautiful food, and the music around were enough to create an idyllic, peaceful atmosphere. Our driver/guide was kind, funny, and shared so much about Moroccan culture and traditions. This tour gave us memories we’ll cherish forever — highly recommended for anyone visiting Morocco!
