Sentez-vous comme si vous étiez au sommet du monde avec cette randonnée d'une journée qui fera monter l'adrénaline. Sólheimajökull fait partie du glacier Mýrdalsjökull, qui est le 4ème plus grand d'Islande. Il a un mélange de cendre et de glace, ce qui lui donne une couleur sombre de près. Nous ferons une randonnée autour, afin que vous puissiez voir diverses crevasses. Il s'agit d'une visite guidée sur place, vous rencontrerez votre guide sur le parking pour vous préparer et un briefing sur la sécurité. Cette randonnée est modérément difficile, nous ne la recommandons donc pas aux enfants plus petits et aux personnes ayant des limitations physiques. L'équipe de David the Guide est une petite famille d'aventuriers, passionnés par le partage de notre amour de la beauté naturelle de l'Islande. Frank was a great guide. My only complaint was that some of the participants were late and we had to wait till almost 2:30pm before we set off. It was unfair that we had to wait for the latecomers and ended up with less time on the glacier.
If you’re on the fence about doing a glacier hike, def would recommend going for it especially with Sindri. I had a fun small group of people and an amazing guide, who I can’t say enough good things about. Sindri loves his job and his country, it was a treat to have him as our guide who is enthusiastic about Iceland and its lifestyle. Thank you for making this experience more fun and memorable! Oh and if your voucher just says “we will be in the parking lot in a white van next to the meeting point” look for a small white van says David the guide. There was no clear instruction on what to look for in the parking lot and literally every tour vans are white… or just look for the most Icelandic looking guide which would be Sindri. Haha
Amazing hike and tour. Our guide was incredibly knowlegable and personable. Highly recommend--especially in the summer. Group wasn't too big.

Michael and I had an amazing time with David the Guide’s Glacier Hike at Sólheimajökull Shared Experience! Our guide, Elias, was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and was informative throughout the tour. I felt very safe throughout the tour due to Elias’s confidence and awareness of the area . I am so glad we booked this tour because this was definitely one of the coolest experiences that I have ever had traveling. We appreciated that Elias took his time to get perfect glacier photos for us to remember our trip. I would recommend this tour to anyone that is curious about hiking a glacier in Iceland since it was breathtaking and unique! Thank you Elias and David the Guide!

We did not get to go on the experience. When we arrived the designated 20 minutes early at the glacier and waited in by the pick up place for our guide he never showed. After waiting for an additional 10 minutes I called the place. They said they moved the trip up due to weather conditions. They said they left us an email at 11:20 and tried to call us. We had already left at 11:00 because it was a 3 hour drive to get to the glacier. The calls they made did not go through because of WiFi connection in the middle of nowhere in Iceland. They offered to maybe give us some money back. It has been over a day and I have heard nothing from the company.
We do regret the outcome- and did our best to alert about the weather. The weekend reply can be slower due to less staff working, please reach out if no one has replied today.
In may it’s pretty warm so don’t over dress and the walk to the glacier is a decent walk but not real difficult

Kamila was an amazing guide, and this was such a great experience. With a small group, Kamila really tailored our glacier experience. Two days before our hike, she had scoped out the glacier to ensure she identified interesting features and the safest routes to those features. Our only problem was connecting with Kamila. There are so many guide groups at the parking lot, and the "Dave the Guide" van was not easily identifiable.
