My travel agent booked a PRIVATE side by side UTV tour for my husband and I. We were picked up at our hotel and was advised they were picking up another couple at a nearby hotel. We went on our tour and our tour guide was great. On our way back the other couple decided they wanted to stop for an Authentic Costa Rican lunch. My husband and I made it clear that it was our last day and we wanted to relax by the hotel/beach so we were not interested in lunch. The other couple basically verbally abused us saying that we suck! The host said nothing and assured us it would be a quick stop at a restaurant. We said ok if they can buy the food and we can be on our way. When we got there it was basically the lunch hour rush. My husband and I perused the souvenir shop and came back to the couple, our host and driver sitting and eating. I decided to get an uber to get us back to the hotel. I told them we have an uber coming so they can enjoy their lunch. The driver immediately got up and took us back to our hotel (leaving his food behind). We made our travel agent aware of the situation. We were never reimbursed, given an apology or even received the photos our guide took of us on the tour. What’s the use of booking a private tour with a company who cannot honor that. It’s all about the greed of money and not client satisfaction.

My fiancé and I came across Aron and The Big Papi Adventure Tour while we were staying at a resort in Liberia Costa Rica. The adventure we took was a private tour where the tour guide led us from jet skis, across the water to our next tour guide where we began our private tour guided ATV drive!! On our drive we saw monkeys, horses, cows, dogs, birds and so such breath taking scenery!! This tour was absolutely amazing!!! We even stopped for lunch at a local bodega, and head back. This tour was the BEST part of our trip. Our tour guides were welcoming and made us feel safe, made sure we had a good time AND even took pictures which were included in the price!!! Their price is wayyy better than anything our resort excursions recommended us. If you’re in the area and see their sign, BOOK WITH ARON!!! Their team is the best!!!!!

If you stay at planet Hollywood and want one of the best atv tours they have talk to Big Pappi on the beach. I promise you won't be disappointed

I found this guy on google vs. Paying the ridiculous price the tour guides near luxury resorts near papagayo wanted. I was very very impressed and we had such a memorable experience. I got a paypal invoice from the owner named "BIG PAPI." I thought that was great, it was the inside joke of the trip. He sent a great older gentleman Elizer to pick us up. Very very friendly. We kept joking "where is big papi?!" We left the luxury of the Andaz and headed 40 minutes south closer to the RIU. This being my third time in the area got to show my boyfriend some of the real costa rica through the drive. DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY THE DROP OFF LOCATION. It's no pretty storefront. They need to park their ATVs somewhere close to the route. This is traditional costa rica, behind a house, chickens and dogs roaming with ATVs parked and a few guys working on them. ALL VERY FRIENDLY. Elizer had us leave our stuff in his van for the 3 hour tour, no problems there. I wish I remembered our guides name! He was younger, 22 or 24 if i remember correct. I am a first time ATV rider, my boyfriend an expert dirtbiker so he was dealing with 2 different levels of experience. He was patient with me when i almost hit a car right out the driveway. After a quick recap of driving an ATV we were on our way. They take you through a little village road then on a route that we saw many ATVs returning from earlier tours. It was beautiful, real costa rica. You start at the bottom, go through rivers and streams, at the right time of year stop at a small waterfall and end up at the top of the mountain. Then back down. Took 3 hours and that included a pitstop for beer! Things you can't control and should be prepared for: the dust. We went in february dry season. I did NOT have a bandana to cover my face. I had dirt in my nose. I would still do it 10x over again. The mud! It wasn't bad for us in dry season but we had our sneakers on we needed to wear back to the freezing USA the following day. It's easy to lift your feet up and avoid mud, not the dust. Plan on bringing shoes you don't care about or can dry easily if they do get wet. WEAR A BATHING SUIT under your clothes incase you want to jump in the waterfall. The compartment is small, wear a waterproof phone case and pack a portable charger. The guide took GREAT videos for us. Left me at 0% and i left my charger with the driver. When we finished Elizer had wet towels for us to wash off the dirt. He had no problem stopping for coffee on the way back even encouraging us to get the "free coffee" Teo Leo has 😂 He got the BIG PAPI on the phone so we could compliment the experience we had. Costa rica is my favorite place and I plan on returning every year. I know next trip we will be using him again and hope we can bring my kids. If your near papagayo, skip out on those tours and call these guys. They really beat the jet skis and other tours ive been on.

This was a great experience, so much fun. We got to see the Howler monkeys and the guides were really good. They even stopped to take great photos for you. Strongly recommend this tour. Just don’t wear white trainers as it’s a bit muddy in parts.

Aron the big papi is excellent man. We took half day private boat with snorkeling. It was amazing experience, the crew was knowledgeable and professional. Snacks and refreshments were provided and we had excellent time exploring the nature of this beautiful country. Pura Vida.

Our group had an excellent trip. Our guides Bernie and Jonathan were fun and friendly and showed us parts of Guanacaste that we would have never found on our own! They were super helpful and accommodated exactly what we wanted to do. Highly recommended!
