Votre chauffeur privé et Guide viennent vous chercher à votre hôtel à Vienne. Installez-vous dans votre siège confortable alors que nous traversons la frontière hongroise vers l'est. Profitez de ce temps pour écouter l'histoire de l'empire austro-hongrois ou simplement faire la sieste pour préparer la journée.
Bienvenue dans la capitale majestueuse de la Hongrie ! Nous commençons notre exploration du côté vallonné de Buda, où l'histoire surplombe le Danube. Grâce à votre chauffeur privé, nous contournons la montée pénible et conduisons directement au cœur du quartier du château. Ici, vous admirerez le superbe extérieur de l'église Matthias, célèbre pour son toit de tuiles multicolores et vibrant qui brille à la lumière du soleil. À quelques pas de là, nous visitons les tours du Bastion des pêcheurs, aux allures de conte de fées. De ses terrasses, vous profiterez de la vue panoramique la plus emblématique sur le Parlement hongrois et la rivière en contrebas – un moment parfait pour des photos inoubliables avant de traverser à l’autre bout de la ville. Avant de partir, nous pouvons nous arrêter pour déjeuner selon vos préférences : nous pouvons nous asseoir pour une soupe traditionnelle au Goulash (ou soupe de poisson) ici dans le quartier du Château, ou si vous préférez une option plus légère pour gagner du temps, nous pouvons prendre quelques sandwichs plus tard du côté de Pest.
Ensuite, nous traversons le Danube en passant par le pont Margaret, en passant par l'île Margaret verte. Cette route offre la vue la plus imprenable et la plus dégagée sur le bâtiment néogothique du Parlement qui se reflète dans la rivière – une séance de photos parfaite. Du côté plat de Pest, on passera de près devant l'échelle du Parlement et on se tiendra devant la magnifique basilique Saint-Étienne, la plus grande église de la ville. Si vous vous intéressez à l'histoire, nous pouvons également faire une petite promenade jusqu'au bord de la rivière pour voir les « Chaussures sur la rive du Danube », un mémorial profondément émouvant pour les victimes de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Cette visite est facultative et dépend entièrement de vos souhaits et de votre niveau d'énergie avant notre départ pour la Slovaquie.
Après le déjeuner, nous quittons la Hongrie et prenons la direction de la Slovaquie. Le trajet dure environ 2 heures, ce qui vous donne une occasion parfaite de vous reposer et de digérer vos impressions (et de déjeuner).
Nous arrivons à Bratislava, la charmante « ville du couronnement », qui offre un contraste délicieux avec la grandeur de Budapest. Ici, tout est intime et marchable. Nous nous promenons tranquillement dans la vieille ville piétonne, en passant sous la porte médiévale de Michel et en admirant l’ancien hôtel de ville historique. Vous verrez la cathédrale Saint-Martin, où les rois hongrois ont été couronnés, et chasserez les célèbres statues de bronze fantaisistes de la ville, dont "Cumil" l'ouvrier d'égout qui jette un coup d'œil hors d'un trou d'homme. Cette visite est le moyen parfait et relaxant de se dégourdir les jambes et de profiter de l'atmosphère chaleureuse avant le dernier court trajet en voiture pour revenir à Vienne.
Le trajet final est court – à peine une heure de Bratislava à Vienne. Détendez-vous sur la banquette arrière pendant que votre chauffeur vous ramène à votre hôtel en toute sécurité, concluant une journée mémorable de trois capitales.

Fascinating trip to multiple places. There is nothing better when traveling than having a knowledgeable and experienced guide. Jenny has a university degree in History from Bratislava, and she uses her deep experience to weave together stories of the politics, religion, and historical personalities involved in the castles, churches, and memorials that we visited. Vlad our driver was very professional and safe. I appreciated that we could be dropped off and picked up very close to tourist entrances. So much better than a large bus service that parks a distance away and mandates a long walk to the place of interest. Budapest is one of the grand European capitals which should not be missed. The architecture was stunning. Bratislava has a very Slavic feel, different from nearby Vienna which is surprising as they are only an hour’s drive apart. I would highly recommend both this tour and others provided by CozyTravel. The personal service , communication and reliability are invaluable.

We had booked a private tour from Vienna to Bratislava and Budapest, but the driver never showed up and we received no communication. Bad experience and totally unreliable, trip ruined and service absolutely not recommended.

Jenny and her partner, Vladimir, were amazing guides. Vladimir was a very safe driver and let us out at convenient spots so we didn’t spend unnecessary time searching for parking. Jenny’s knowledge of the history and culture of Budapest and Bratislava was amazing. They were both kind and caring about our needs. Their car was very comfortable, even having the possibility of reclining a little the seats to take a nap while driving between the cities. We had a fantastic day trip to Bratislava and Budapest. Our guides Jenny and her husband picked us up at our hotel to start our full day tour. They were both extremely knowledgeable about the history, geography and peoples from both capitals and gave us an excellent and thorough tour of these beautiful cities. They were very friendly and great guides and hosts. They made sure we comfortable and saw all the most interesting parts of the cities at a very easy and relaxed pace. We had plenty of time to look, ask questions, stop for and shop for souvenirs.
