Mikumi est le quatrième plus grand parc national de Tanzanie. C’est aussi le plus accessible de Dar es Salaam. Avec des observations de la faune presque garanties, il fait une destination de safari idéale pour ceux qui ont peu de temps (c'est à 4 heures de route ou à 1 heure de vol de Dar es Salaam). Il est situé à moins de 300 km de Dar es Salaam, ce qui en fait un parc très prisé pour son accessibilité. La plaine inondable de Mikumi domine le parc, où l’on voit souvent des lions, des meutes de chiens sauvages, une rareté ailleurs en Afrique. Le léopard, la girafe, l'éléphant, le zèbre, le buffle, le gnou, l'éland, les crocodiles, le varan et le python comptent parmi les nombreux habitants de Mikumi.

I want to first start off by saying thank you to Paul from Silver Sky Travel and his affiliates (the airline, Camp Bastian Hotel, Safari Gateway, and Maasai world) for making this a memorable trip. We did the 2-day 1-night tour. The pickup, drop off, flight, accommodation, Maasai world, and of course the safari were amazing. They take good care of you and hold your hand every step of the way. The driver was a pro and he put in a lot of effort to show you the animals, the Maasai experience was informative, and the hotel staff were friendly (and the hotel food was good). I want to give a special shout out to Paul for being flexible with me. My luggage arrived into Zanzibar later than I did. He worked with me to reschedule my trip until my luggage arrived. Thank you! My only piece of advice for future travelers is to research the conditions of the park for the time of the year they intend to visit because wildlife viewing and greenery is not the same year round.
Very nice safari with a helpful team and good guide! The Safari and flights went smooth and easy and we got to see a lot of very cool animals The two things that could be better is AC in the car during the long drive, as well AC in the accomodation. However then the trip might need to be more expensive.
Good Taxi and good guide. Nice accommodation. Food was good. Many animals at the Safari in Mikumi-Nationalpark National Parc.
We did a 2 day safari in Mikumi park. Both days many animals seen up close. We even spotted 9 lions (4 baby lions)! Everything was very well organized and played together. The ranger knew a lot about the animals, spoke good English was very friendly! An unforgettable experience! (the pictures below are photos from the camera, still need to be put on the computer)
It was a very good experience, we saw a lot of animals, we ate and slept well ☺️! And when we were thinking it ⁇ 't happen again, we saw lions 😍! It was great!
No views but nice ambience. Drinks ok (alcohol served) first food wasn’t great they changed it and we had tagine instead which was very good. Cocktails in the bar are very good. Worth a visit
We took the option with plane departure from Zanzibar via Dar el Salam return, for 2 days in Mikumi Park. On arrival in Dar el Salam, our driver was there waiting for us. The transfer is quite long (5 hours), a lunch break is planned on the road, arrived at the park, our driver (NICO) was there, very friendly, professional, always looking for the best viewing spot (seen elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wild dogs, hypopos, crocs, etc...), in the evening we stayed in a small lodge (shower, toilet, comfort ok). Restaurant on site for dinner and breakfast in the morning. Departure at 7:45 a.m. to visit the park, and return by road at 11:30 a.m., arriving at the airport at 7 p.m. to catch our plane. Thanks to our driver who drove carefully in km of truck queues, who knew how to be cunning and take shortcuts! Sylver sky travel is an agency that keeps promises, thanks to LODRICK with whom I organized the transfers and plane tickets, by WhatsApp. Only downside, if I had to do it again, take the option with direct landing in the park, faster and less tiring Great 2 day stay!
Everything was just right, Frank organized everything really well, it was the best result, a great adventure in Mikumi Safari National Park. I can only recommend it. Best wishes Waldemar and Adriana
A great experience for the whole family. The staff were wonderful and 2 days is probably just right for a young family. There was a lot of driving involved from Dar Es Salaam to the park and a flight may have been better. If my maths is correct, we saw 4 of the big 5, with many highlights including seeing Lionesses feed in the morning - we also saw a Zebra crossing the road (pun intended!!!). The hotel and food was also more than adequate - definitely a great family safari experience!
Had an amazing time, we got to see a variety of animals, our driver was great and the food too. If you are flying from Zanzibar and driving to the national park, you need a minimum of two days.
