Extraordinary.

The experience was wonderful, especially with Sandro the guide, who gave us a very special tour with all his experience and friendly demeanor, which characterizes his personality, as well as the driver Irvin, who make a wonderful duo in how they treat tourists arriving in Cusco to explore these wonders.

Rick's Review

Everything was great with one exception. The drivers were on time and polite. The guides were great. However, the purpose of the trip was to explore Machu Picchu and our pass only allowed us to view the city from on the hill. It did not include a tour of the actual city. Nobody told us the tour was extremely limited. We waited 20 years and traveled 5000 miles only to be disappointed with our visit to Machu Picchu.

Excellent Family Adventure!! Highly Recommend this tour!!

We are a family of four, with 2 boys in their early 20’s. We had an absolutely amazing adventure. Our tour dates were Sunday May 17 & 18, 2026. We only had 3 days in Cusco and getting this tour was the best decision for us We were able to see so much more than had we tried planning it ourselves. Tatiana was our guide. She was absolutely fantastic. She is bilingual, knowledgeable, patient, understanding, caring, and you can tell her love and passion for sharing the knowledge of the Inca and Peruvian culture. She was our guide throughout the entire tour. She not only shared her knowledge, but also gave us pointers and suggestions regarding the altitude sickness, best spots to take pics, etc. The day before the tour, Tatiana contacted us for final details (make sure to have your cell phone handy and fully charged - not like us that we left it on airplane mode and silent ~ Oops! But, we did end up talking to her). On Day 1, Tatiana picked us up from the hotel promptly at 7:30am. We had a super comfortable large van just for the 4 of us for the whole first day taking us from spot to spot. It was the most comfortable and convenient way to travel, for we could securely leave our backpacks and valuables in the van while we toured each site. We were lucky the weather was perfectly beautiful, slightly warm during the day, no rain, clear blue skies, no mosquitoes, crisp during the evening. On Day 1, lunch is not included and we had our choice as to whether we wanted a buffet restaurant or la carte. We decided on à la carte restaurant, since 2 of us had altitude symptoms. It was a perfect choice for us, the portions were quite generous and like all of Peru, absolutely delicious. Tatiana squeezed in an extra little tour before we got to board the train. The train ride was comfortable, with panoramic windows to see the beauty of the Andean mountains. Have your phones charged so that you can take pics of the white peak mountains. Once in Machu Picchu city we were greeted by a guide/ hotel rep who took us to our hotel within walking distance from the train station. We had 2 spacious rooms. Breakfast was included. Machu Picchu town has many shops, including an artisanal mall that you have to walk through in order to get in or out of the train station. The town had many excellent restaurants for all palates and budgets. We have to say no matter what restaurant we picked the food was absolutely delicious and the portions were very generous. On Day 2, Tatiana picked us promptly at 6 am (We had a 7am entry. Circuit 1B tickets) and together we took the bus to Machu Picchu. We checked our backpacks in storage for a small fee. Machu Picchu greeted us with the most splendid morning views, blue skies, radiant sun, slight warmth, no rain or bugs. We had to climb a number of steps, but Tatiana was patient and understanding as I had to take breaks to catch my breath. She not only fully shared the history of the citadel, but answered all our extra questions, guided us as to the best spots to take pics, and took our family pics and videos So extra cool. We were able to walk and take our time. We were not rushed as we took in the majestic views and splendor of Machu Picchu. Our trip ended with a bus ride back to town where we had time to rest and have lunch. Thereafter we took the train back to “O-Town” (My nickname for the town because I keep butchering it). In O-Town we were greeted by a driver who took us to Cusco directly. Again, our ride back was in a comfortable large van and we were the only ones which allowed us to take little power naps before arriving to Cusco for the last few hours of our adventure, as we departed that same evening. In summary, choosing this tour was the perfect idea for us. We got to explore, see and learn so much in the crunch time that we had. Tatiana, we thank you for making our first time in Cusco and Machu Picchu a memorable family time. We will definitely be coming back as there is so much we have yet to explore. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful visit to Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu

We booked the 2 day Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tour with help from Fredy about 2 months before our trip. Fredy was great to respond via WhatsApp and guided us through the process. Since the most desirable tickets for Machu Picchu circuit 2 were sold out he advised us to buy the circuit 1 for now and try to buy the circuit 2 or 3 when we arrived in Aguas Calientes directly from the ticket office. A few days before our arrival we noticed that the tickets from ticket office were selling out faster than we anticipated so Fredy helped reorganize our trip so we could arrive early enough to get in line at 5:30 AM to get our next day tickets! This is what I consider OUTSTANDING customer service. On the day of the Sacred Valley tour the guide JC arrived on time with comfortable transportation and took us through all the sites. His knowledge of the entire region was amazing and he kept us entertained throughout. The guide a Machu Picchu, William, was wonderful as well. He even came to receive us at the Aguas Calientes train station and walked with us to the hotel explaining the tour in advance and what to expect. We were able to secure Circuit 3 tickets by getting in line around 5:30 AM. William came to our hotel and accompanied us to Machu Picchu on the bus and gave us a wonderful tour of both circuits (1 and 3) which was as complete of a view of Machu Picchu that one could ask for. I would highly recommend Machu Picchu Viajes for your Cusco / Sacred Valley / Machu Picchu trip.

Great guide, great experience!

We had such an incredible experience on this Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tour. Our guide Saul really made the trip special. He was very professional. He was also easygoing and attentive throughout the day. His explanations were clear and engaging. We learned a lot about Inca history and local culture. It felt interesting and alive, not just facts. The 2-day itinerary was very well organized. The timing felt just right. It was not rushed. The early starts were worth it. We had enough free time to explore Machu Picchu Pueblo and then to rest after day 1. Overall, everything ran smoothly and exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this tour. Especially Saul as a guide 😊!

Amazing experience 10/10

Our experience was amazing and highly recommend. It’s nice to have all the logistics planned as there are many. Train, shuttle and bus and all admissions were covered and included in price. We had a wonderful tour guide named Domingo who was amazing and so knowledgeable.
