This expedition using Alpaca Tours and headed by Nilton was so good that it was as if he had only one more day, one more chance to do the very thing that he loves so much in his life. it was of that quality and level of greatness.
Did the two day tour with Saul and it was truly remarkable. The sights of both days were incredible and having a local knowledge made it super memorable. The service from start to finish was top tier. I was touring with my mum who’s in her 60s and a little mobility impaired and Saul went out of his way to make her feel comfortable. I also misplaced my wallet and Saul went over and above to help me find it even after the tour had finished. 10/10 experience and definitely would book again.
Excellent hike. The mountains are beautiful. The Machu Picchu history is incredible. Highly recommend!
Mr. Luis was wonderful. He was an entertaining guide, but also very knowledgeable about the history and context of the various sites we visited. Very good English as well, clearly understood.
Sabi was great!! He was very knowledgeable, funny, and helpful! I would definitely book with him again and will recommend him and the company in the future!
Our guides Nilton and Marcos made this challenge hike enjoyable. Our group has a different level of physical fitness, but Nilton set up the pace made everyone feel comfortable and included. The lunch was totally unexpected, the variety of food will fit any dietary restrictions. Absolutely delicious! After 1st day hike to Machu Pichu, we got visit Circular 1 with the beautiful views of the whole Machu Pichu, can’t ask for a better weather. The hotel is very new and very comfortable, the only downside of the hotel is we all have to walk all the way up after a long day of hike. But we are not the only ones, that’s how all the structures are uphills or downhills in the Agua Clemente. 2nd day we visited Circular 3, the bottom part of Machu Pichu, a close look of this historic place…amazing! Oh…we were very fortunate to be able to see the sunrise from the V mountains. The train ride was beautiful and entertaining, everyone got a free hat, snacks and some snacks . Overall it was a once in a lifetime experience, it worth of every penny.
As a solo traveler, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Alpaca Expeditions. From the moment the trip began, everything was incredibly well organized, making it easy to relax and fully enjoy the journey. A special thank you to our guide, Juan Miranda. Juan was exceptional—knowledgeable, professional, kind, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and culture of Peru. He made everyone feel welcome and cared for, and his enthusiasm added so much to the experience. As someone traveling alone, I especially appreciated how inclusive and supportive he was throughout the trip. The highlight, of course, was Machu Picchu. Seeing it in person was absolutely spectacular and exceeded every expectation. We completed Circuit 2, which offered breathtaking views and an incredible opportunity to experience the beauty and grandeur of this remarkable site. Juan’s explanations brought the history of Machu Picchu to life and made the visit even more meaningful. Thank you to Juan and the entire Alpaca Expeditions team for creating such a memorable experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Peru and looking for a first-class adventure.
The operation was seamless from beginning to end. We never had to worry about our luggage, destination or our safety! David made us feel like we were part of his Inca family. We learned so much and also had a lot of fun! Thank you to alpaca tours and to David!
Alpaca Expeditions was top notch!! The accommodations and restaurant recommendations were so nice! Driving in Peru is a little dicey but our drivers were great and got us everywhere safely! Our guide David Condori Villanueva was the absolute BEST! He was so informative and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond for our family and helped make our Peru vacation the most amazing experience! And he took the best pictures that really captured our memories! I recommend David and Alpaca to everyone who wants to learn about Inca life and experience Peruvian culture!
Our tour was great, all thanks to our guide, David Condori Villanueva. He met us the night before to explain to us about the tour as well as the Inca Trail we shall be doing with the same tour operator in a few days, and on the day we was superb, from pick-up to drop-off. We had private accommodation booked outside the tour and he went over and above in accommodating us and making sure we got everywhere we needed to be on time. His explanations were clear and lively, he took photos of us where we asked and we enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend!
