We recently went on the 3 day multi tour organised by Best of Switzerland. ex Zurich. At the end of each day we were dropped off at a bus stop and were required to walk back to our ‘convenly located’ Lucerne hotel organised by Best of Switzerland. The hotel was 13-15 min walk so not at all convenient especially when lugging large suitcases on day 1 and then again on day 3 after checking out of the hotel. Luckily we are quite fit and it didn’t rain but still not ideal and want to bring to the attention of other travellers. The tour operator suggested if too difficult we should arrange a taxi. Very dissatisfying. Pointing out also that each day you are on a different bus, different guide and guests so this is not your typical multi day tour. You also have a couple of drop off / pick up’s along the way. Having said that the daily tours were very good but want to point out above as the tour description doesn’t go into this detail.
Dear Mobile, Thank you very much for choosing one of our overnight tour packages and for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are truly sorry to hear that the logistics of the tour did not meet your expectations. As stated in the tour description, the hotel in Lucerne is described as conveniently located in the city center. While it is within walking distance from the bus drop-off point, we understand that walking with large suitcases can be challenging, and take your comments seriously for future occasions. We also regret to hear that the structure of the tour, with different guides, buses, and guests each day, was not what you expected. Due to a lower volume of bookings for overnight packages, we currently combine them with our regular daily tours. This allows us to offer the multi-day experience without requiring a minimum group size. We agree that this setup differs from typical multi-day group tours and appreciate your suggestion to provide more detail in the tour description. That said, we are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the daily tours themselves, and we truly appreciate your understanding and flexibility. Thank you again for sharing your experience, as it helps us improve. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back on another tour in the future, perhaps one that better aligns with your travel preferences. Best regards, Clara from Best of Switzerland Tours

Definitely the highlight of my zurich trip. Worth every cent.

Absolutely wonderful! We weren't sure what to expect from this tour, but it was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed every element of the two day tour. Our night's stay on Mount Pilatus was magnificent - the views spectacular, the setting perfect. The included dinner and breakfast were excellent, and the ambience and service exceptional. Our experience was fabulous and definitely 5 star.

I would not recommend this tour. The morning was spend driving through the countryside dropping off other travellers at the various mountains for their excursions. When we headed up Mt Pilatus I was on my own. The stay at Mt Pilatus was amazing and definitely worth it! The train ticket from the base of Mt Pilatus to Lucerne was supposed to be included. It wasn't and I was advised by the tour guide that it is easy to purchase once you come down the mountain. The train station is right at the base of the mountain however the line up was so long to purchase tickets that I almost missed the train back to Lucerne. I would have been better off to book the trip up Pilatus myself as I would have been able to spend more time enjoying Mt Pilatus and it's numerous hiking trails

Absolutely amazing, view spectacular, cog train and cable cars gave a wonderful view, time spent at Titlis was unbelievable, 360 degree chair lift to top, toboggan ride great, walks etc. well worth the value

This tour was pretty amazing and not at the same time. There was a lot of time spent dropping off people who were not on this exact tour to other destinations. The bus filled up with people for about 3 different tours. It took about 3 hours to travel from Zurich to Mt Pilatus, not 1 hour like its listed on Viator. Once on Mt Pilatus the clouds lifted and we had a great view. There were multiple hiking paths, a bar, and gift shop to occupy your time.
The hotel room on Mt Pilatus was spacious but the beds were two double beds pushed together.
The welcome drinks were all you could drink with some cheese, nuts, and chips.
Once done with the drinks we moved into the dining area. Everyone had their own table. The food was really good but any additional drinks were at individual cost. It was a really nice evening since only hotel guests were on the mountain.
The next morning I got up early to see the sunrise over the mountains, which was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
After this we took the cogwheel down and a train into Lucerne. I waited about an hour for the next tour group to pick me up, a 4 hour process. Once the various tour groups were collected we headed toward Mt Titlus. The weather on the mountain was terrible and you couldn't see anything.
We did the glacier caves and the Ice Flyer but on the ride you could barely see 5 feet in front of you. It was unfortunate that you could not see anything. It was also very cold causing people to remain within the building. It was very loud and crowded. This part of the trip I did not enjoy. After we travelled back to Zurich another 2 hour trip. With everything said and done I wish I had only booked into the first part of the 2 day trip as again there was a lot of time wasted just standing around waiting for groups to load onto or off of the bus. Mt Pilatus was great because there was good weather but Titlis was a flop and waste of a day.

All the details were carried out to a T. My husband an I happened to be the only ones on our coach to spend the night at Hotel Bellevue on Mt. Pilatus. Trudy, our guide, personally went to the desk to verify all details for the morning descent, etc. The next day in Lucerne we met up with the group going to Mt. Titlis for the day. What an Alpine experience in the glacier and snow! It could not have gone smoother- I have taken student groups to Europe since 1980 and this was the best! I will be checking possible Viator excursions on upcoming trips.

My daughter and I did this tour together and the main reason we chose this tour was to see snow for the very first time! The countryside in Switzerland is just beautiful - very pretty and pristine. This is where I conquered my fear of heights. The cable car ride up to Mt Pilatus was really nice - peaceful and you could even hear cow bells when you passed the cows below. Unfortunately, for everyone on the tour Mt Pilatus itself was covered in very thick fog, so no-one got to see the scenery from the mountain. We were the only people in the group to stay on the mountain that night. The room was nice and by dinner time we discovered the fog had lifted. Dinner was just ok - not much choice, but served in a grand room. Breakfast was also adequate. When we woke in the morning the fog was back - so we didn't get to see much in the way of views or go on any of the walks. The next morning we followed instructions to get off the mountain to meet the next tour group at the train station below easy enough. This was what we were waiting for - all tour groups and people visiting Mt Titlis were geared up in clothing to visit the snow. Once again heavy fog, you could not even see anything in the cable car rides up the mountain. Once you got there you discovered the snow was indeed just slushy ice. I know this is all up to mother nature, but with all the fog and lack of snow we both felt really disappointed. Can't justify what we spent on this tour - quite unimpressed by it all and Switzerland is one of the most expensive places we visited on our trip.

We stayed a night in Mt Pilatus. It was worth the money and the service was very good. Then we headed on to Mt Titlis. Everything was well planned and we were well taken care of.

Amazing tripp. Excellent service at the hotell and restaurant on top of Mt Pilatus.
