Visite privée de 2 jours à Pamir Highway

Description

Just came back from the trip of my life! Was a bit worried about the weather, but it wasn't a problem, eventhough it snowed. So it is possible to do this trip even in winter. Felt safe throughout the whole trip, as the border is heavily guarded. My guide Oriz was so knowledgeable, heartily and kind. He patiently answered all my questions and helped me out where he could. The driver Maksud savely drove us through the snow and fog. You drive about 3 hours along the Afghan border on the way to the guest house and 3 hours on your way back. What I have seen, I can't put in words. Never will I forget. If you are in Dushanbe for a couple of days, this tour is a must. I highly recommend!
My guides did their job perfectly. This isn't exactly for the faint of heart, but it's worth it to see this corner of the world that feels a bit eerie in a cool way. Just follow what the guides say and you will be fine.
The two-day tour from Dushanbe to Kalai-Khum has been an authentic experience in the Southern part of Tagikistan. Oriz is a great guide, his English is very good and he knows a lot about the history and the culture of this part of Tagikistan. The tour is a great chance to see Afghanistan from the Tagik border, while you drive for around 100km along the Panj valley. The valley is very narrow and the river is just 200/300 meters wide: this allows you to see with your bare eyes people and animals living their lives and carrying out their activities on the Afghan side of the river. Visiting Hulbuk fortress, with the Head of the excavation team, has also been a nice experience. I also enjoyed typical food we had along our way.
It is one of the most scenic countries I have visited so far. The Pamir Highway marks without any doubts the most beautiful roads of our planet. I would call it a hidden gem facing hardly any tourists. A big thank you also to my Guide HAKIM who Drive very safely, speaks very good English and was very attentive.
Thank you so much for your kind words! 🙏 We’re delighted that you enjoyed the beauty of the Pamir Highway — truly one of the world’s hidden gems. We’ll be sure to share your feedback with Hakim; he’ll be very happy to know you appreciated his safe driving, good English, and attentive care. We hope to welcome you back to Tajikistan for more adventures!
Great tour with experienced driver. Fascinating landscape at Afghanistan border. Guesthouse has everything you need.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re very happy to hear you enjoyed the tour, felt safe with our experienced driver, and appreciated the unique scenery along the Afghan border.
The tour operator was very good with the communications before and after the tour. The tour guide was very professional and personable. The driver knew the road well and made the drive comfortable. Lunch both days was at a restaurant with excellent food. The guesthouse was nicely located overlooking a river and our room had a private bathroom.
The private tour along the Pamir Highway was an experience of a lifetime! From breathtaking landscapes to rich cultural encounters, every moment of this journey was unforgettable. The scenery was simply spectacular—towering mountains, deep valleys, and winding roads that felt like a true adventure. From rugged peaks to serene rivers, this is one of the most scenic drives I’ve ever experienced. My guide (Bobo) was outstanding, knowledgeable, and passionate about the region. One of the highlights was meeting the local people—their hospitality and warmth were heart-touching. We had the chance to experience authentic Pamiri culture, from sharing tea with locals to hear their stories about life in this remote yet beautiful part of the world. The transfer was smooth and well-organized, ensuring a stress-free experience. Everything was perfectly arranged, allowing us to focus entirely on soaking in the beauty of the journey. If you’re looking for an adventure that combines breathtaking landscapes, cultural immersion, and expert guidance, this private Pamir Highway tour is an absolute must.
Thank you so much for your beautiful and thoughtful review! We’re thrilled to hear that the Pamir Highway tour was such a meaningful and unforgettable experience for you. Bobo will be happy to know his passion and knowledge made a difference. Meeting the locals and exploring this unique region truly creates memories that last a lifetime. We’re honored to have been part of your journey!
Thank you so much Oriz and to our driver (sorry I forgot his name 🥲 again) for this wonderful experience in the Pamirs and for offering this package to tourist like who’s time cannot afford the full Pamir duration. To future travellers, make sure to pay a visit to the Afghan weekly market (every Saturdays)!!!
