Great tour with amazing tour-guide!

The tour is really nice. You get to visit two castles (Pelisor and Bran), two beatiful cities (Brasov and Sighisoara) and the Brown Bear Sanctuary which is an amazing experience! Our tour guide Mihai was really friendly, knowleadgeable, always willing to answer any questions and very kind! The only drawback is that the ticket for the entry to the castles and some museums we got to visit is not included in the tour's price which makes it more expensive in the end. Otherwise, everything else was great!

Just fabulous - Mihai was amazing!

We loved loved loved our tour with Mihai. He gave us a fascinating insight into all of the places we visited included the Libearty sanctuary, Bran castle, Sigishoare, Peles Castle and lots more as well as sharing his fascinating experiences of growing up and living in Romania. We stayed overnight in a comfortable hotel in Brasov arranged by Mihai and explored the beautiful city in the evening. Mihal was always there to help with luggage, suggest places to eat, provide water and lead us to some lovely lunch spots. He even kept his calm demeanour and sense of humour through a fairly awful traffic jam. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone wanting to discover more of this wonderful country.

Our guide was very helpful and made the experience complete with his introductions on the history of each place. He was available for any request and also made us skip the line for each attraction. Recommended, as transylvania is a truly magnificent place

Incredible Experience with the best Guide

Romania has some incredible sights from mountains, villages, well established cities with a compliment from a beautiful palace and unique castle. Staying the night in Braşov was the best decision that I made. Hesitant at first about taking the chance and I’m glad I did. It made the full experience more relaxing, inclusive and enjoyable. The roadways across the beautiful continent are limited due to the mountains and distance take longer than more advanced countries with robust roadways and with heavy tourism, can mean twice the commute time to get from Bucharest to where the gems of Romania are. Recommend this experience. Having Mr Mihai as the guide proved even more wonder. An expert on navigating the winding roads as much as the expansive history or the great country. Keep in mind tourist season and plan accordingly with a more relaxed 2-day or more tour.

Execellent tour! We totally enjoyed it!

This 2-day tour was absolutely worth it - wonderful nature and landscapes, as well as very beatuful little towns, fortresses and castles. We enjoyed Sigishoara, Brasov and Dracula's castle a lot. Also the gardens of Peles Castle were very inspiring and relaxing. The bears in the sanctuary seemed to be in caring good hands: the enclosures are very spacious, and the animals looked very healthy and well-nourished.The weather was mostly sunny with only 1-hour short periods of rain in between. Our tour guide, Rasem was very well educated, kind and always willing and happy to explain and show to you whatever you wanted. His English is very good! The only thing we didn't enjoy as much was the choice of the hotel. We had wished for something better. In our opinion, the hotel didn't quite match the 3*-standard - it was rather a 2-star situation. Still, the restaurants in town offer very good food within a perfectly affordable price range. To put it in a nutshell: We recommend this tour. Two days is the least you should invest for visiting Transylvania. Lots of wonderful places are waiting for you. Have fun!

This is not our first experience...

This is not our first experience with Viator. Every trip we took has been on time and we had a great time. I am originally from Romania but my daughter , her fiancée and our friends that came with us , have never been to this places. Our driver was on time, flexible to our requests and we were very fortunate with the weather so we could see everything we planned. Even with traffic he got us there and we did not miss anything.

The only reason I am giving 4 stars...

The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the trip got delayed by three hours due to a problem with the company's car, the company call us the night before and explained they had just one only vehicle to go to Transylvania. This delay cause us to rush that day, we couldn't see Peles castle top floor, which was upsetting the place is stunning!
I believe the guide's name was Ramsen he was amazing! patient, always thinking of my mom's comfort.
Transylvania is so worth seeing the landscape and towns are beautiful.

The basics are excellent: you will...

The basics are excellent: you will indeed be picked up from your hotel and taken on a small group tour to each of the five locations mentioned and dropped off back at your hotel. Transport in a recent model van and superb overnight accommodation in Brasov is included. Tour guides 2 in total are quite friendly and informative. If there is time, you may see an additional fortress. The countryside covered would surely take far longer and be more expensive for the typical foreign tourist if done alone. I am grateful for the effort and enthusiasm put into planning and implementing this overnight tour.

But there are a few rough edges. The tour van has no electronic public address system so it can be hard to hear your guides while driving. While you are not forced to eat at any particular establishment, it is rarely clear when eating opportunities arise. You may have to specifically request a food and/or toilet stop. Also, while the overnight accommodation with sumptuous breakfast is excellent, obtaining other food in that building or nearby city is far from straightforward.
