Safari en camping classique de 12 jours en Namibie

I just returned from Chameleon’s 12-day tour, and "amazing" doesn't even begin to cover it. Namibia is a breathtakingly beautiful country, and taking this tour was hands-down the best way to experience everything it has to offer. The safari portion of the trip was an unforgettable highlight. Cruising through the parks and coming face-to-face with Namibia's incredible wildlife in their natural habitat was absolutely surreal and made the whole adventure feel truly magical. Our lead guide, Chiloe, was exceptional. Beyond being super professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely funny, he was an amazingly safe driver—which gave us complete peace of mind throughout the journey. I learned so much about Namibia’s history, culture, and landscapes directly from him. A massive shout-out to our cook, Bronil, who worked absolute magic in the camp kitchen. His salads were phenomenal, and his creativity was impressive given he was crafting delicious meals based on what was freshly available at local supermarkets. I have a slight gluten sensitivity, and Bronil went out of his way to find gluten-free bread and rice cakes for me. I never once felt like I was missing out on his incredible meals. Both Chiloe and Bronil were endlessly helpful—even with setting up the tents—and their passion for their country shines through in everything they do. Honestly, they should be official ambassadors for Namibia! From the stunning scenery to the seamless organization, these 12 days gave me a deep, rich feel for the entire country. I feel so lucky to have taken this trip. Do not hesitate—go, go, go!

We did the 12-day camping safari in a small group of 9 people. A special thank you goes to our guides, Anton and Bronhel. They did an excellent job in every respect. Anton drove safely, they cooked excellently, explained and showed us many things, and always made us laugh with their humorous manner. This was one of those trips I’ll remember for a long time. Everything was very well organized, which made it easy to just enjoy the adventure. Simon was an outstanding guide — professional, warm, and deeply knowledgeable, with a real passion for what he does. He always made sure everyone was comfortable and answered every question with so much patience. Sleeping in the tents under the stars was a highlight on its own. Chameleon Safaris delivered a truly authentic experience that I’d recommend to anyone.

There were rough times (temperatures, heavy rains, some physical exertions, but rewarded) First Namibia: landscapes, animals, vastness, history, kindness and smiles. Then the infrastructure: well chosen campsites (pitches, infrastructure, rarely precarious), hard housing twice to recover including a wonderful one (Klein Aus Cabin), truck / bus to all proof on these long chaotic tracks straight ahead, quality tents and perfect mattress. Finally a professional team involved, rich in sharing (all topics can be discussed) and knowledge, curious to know us also, kind, laughing, caring, that complements perfectly! With a real specialist in good cooking camping with TAIMI and a hardy and careful driver on these long straight tracks with SHAKA. We leave rich in knowledge and humanity, images full of head and heart. Thank you!! What a fantastic trip thanks to Taimi and Shakka, our 2 guides and driver. Everything was perfect. They went out of their way to find the animals in the parks, to pay attention to our well-being when discovering this beautiful country. The tour around Namibia (12 days) from safari to desert camping to dunes and different natural parks was amazing! Perfectly organised and managed!! Chilo and Simon are reliable, supportive , they adapt to the group and its needs, they are very clear in explanations , they cook very well during the night camps and most of all there is always a good smile on their face, showing you how friendly and happy are people from namibia! We spent incredible days with Chameleon Safari in Namibia, and so much of the magic was thanks to Simon, our guide. Simon is simply exceptional: a true all-rounder with contagious energy and a passion for his job that I’ve rarely seen in anyone. Evrething in one person: he’s a skilled driver, an amazing cook, and above all, someone who gives everything to make every moment special. More than just a guide, Simon became a friend. He was always attentive, helpful, and eager to share his deep knowledge of Namibia, its wildlife, and its culture. Thanks to him, our tour was not only an unforgettable adventure but also a personal and authentic experience that we will cherish forever.

Our 12‑day Namibia Classic Camping Safari with World Adventure Tours was an incredible blend of breathtaking landscapes and easygoing companionship. We journeyed from the wildlife-rich north through Mt. Etjo, Okonjati Reserve, and the magical nighttime wildlife watching at Etosha’s Okaukuejo waterhole, down to the dramatic Skeleton Coast, dunes of Sossusvlei, haunting Kolmanskop, and finally to the vast expanse of Fish River Canyon and the quiver tree forest. We experienced so much of this beautiful, diverse country. What made the trip truly special were the people. Erastus guided us with quiet confidence and personal insights. He made sure we kept to our schedule while also giving us opportunities for spontaneous moments and unforgettable photo opportunities. And Bronie, our assistant and chef, kept us grounded and content with delicious meals and great humor. Plus, our fellow travelers—laughing over the bumpy roads of the game drives, helping each other put up our tents, singing by the campfire, watching the meteorite shower together on a dark night at our campsite—turned the journey into a shared adventure rather than just a tour. I highly recommend this tour!

This safari was an incredible experience. Johny and Erastus were good guides, drove us to all the interesting places and were able to explain the history of the country and the places we saw. These are unforgettable memories and I am delighted to have chosen Chameleon safaris! One negative: in Swakopmund, the day is free and we are advised to pay for an extra activity, which we all chose to do. I think it would be better to include it by default on the safari, especially given the total price.
