Rejoignez-nous pour une croisière d’une heure et demie entièrement consacrée aux yachts de Fort Lauderdale et aux demeures des riches et célèbres voyageant sur la New River, la voie navigable Intracoastal Waterway et Port Everglades.
Notre visite commence à notre quai du centre-ville de Fort Lauderdale, qui se trouve juste à deux pas de la maison Stranahan.
Nous continuons notre visite du tunnel Henry E. Kinney et sortons sur l'étroite et sinueuse rivière New. Depuis le pont supérieur du Carrie B, vous aurez une excellente vue sur l'hôtel Riverside. Ouvert en 1936, cet hôtel est le summum du charme et de l'élégance du vieux monde à Fort Lauderdale.
Nous continuons d'anciennes maisons qui se sont vendues au début des années 1920 pour seulement 4 000 $ à 8 000 $. Aujourd'hui, ces maisons à Rio Vista et Colee Hammock se vendent à des prix de plusieurs millions de dollars. Nous continuons après le parc Colee Hammock et nous nous dirigeons vers la section la plus large de la New River.

Great cruise. Tour guide was the best
Must do at Ft. Lauderdale especially if you are short of time.
Wonderful way to experience Ft. Lauderdale. Great 90 minute tour. Riverboat was very comfortable with great views. Tour guide was interesting and entertaining. It was a family outing with my husband, adult son, 82 year old Mom and 79 year old Aunt. We all enjoyed ourselves, great family outing.
We got there early enough to be first in line. That allowed us to pick seats up top under the canopy. It was perfect and not hot. We had a great breeze up there too. There are drinks, both alcohol and non. They also have hot dogs, pretzels and popcorn. Possibly other snacks, but those are the ones I remembered. The guide tells about the houses along the way and has some good stories that go with it. We learned a lot of history and background about the waterways. We passed by a cruise ship when we were taken into Port Everglades. We chose to go between checking out of our hotel and going to the airport. It was a perfect way to spend the time. I would highly suggest staying quiet while the guide is speaking. If you have kids with you that may be talkative it is best to keep them at the back or down in the a/c. If you want to talk, go downstairs where you may not bother others as much. We had some families that kept talking very loud as the guide was speaking, even though he asked at the beginning for people to not talk. When the kids talked, the parents talked just as loud instead of quietly asking them to whisper or taking them downstairs. We paid a lot of money to hear the guide, not to just take a ride on a boat. I know the guide was being nice, but I don’t think it would be bad to repeat the request before and after each break. Sometimes people don’t hear it the first time. The tour is so interesting and we wanted to hear everything :)
Second time on this tour. Very nice ride with views of lovely homes and some stories of some famous people that do or have owned them. Worth the money and decent drinks and snacks on the boat.

When our fought was delayed, we were able to catch this boat tour followed by a wonderful meal at Phat Boys nearby, before heading back to FLL to fly home. Family members that were hot enjoyed the A/c and tour from below, while our more adventurous enjoyed the windy bow. The tour was funny and informative, though a bit heavy on wealthy citizen homes. We particularly appreciated the info on the rivers, intercoastal waterway, and Port Everglades, and would have liked a bit more history of Fort Lauderdale. Nonetheless, we came away with a solid local experience of a city we've never visited before. We would recommend this tour for all ages.
