Great intro to dog sledding. Dogs and guide were great. Guide was very informative. Learned a lot about the dogs and dogsledding that I did not know. Would go on a longer ride in the future.

Daniel was our driver, and did a GREAT job telling us all about Fairbanks, and overviewing our dog-sled ride, including how the dogs were trained and how he trained to be a musher! Ash was our musher and the lead musher - he gave us a great safety and overview briefing on the overall operation and how special the mushing dogs are. Then, on the trail, he stopped numerous times to take great photos and videos of us with the dogs. I would recommend 1st Alaska Tours and this trip HIGHLY, and especially Daniel and Ash-thank you both!

Our Musher, Ash, was great. While they hooked up the team we were able to roam through and interact with the dogs that weren’t going on this trip. Ash is very pleasant and knowledgeable. Thanks

I've gone with a few operators in Fairbanks and this was by far the BEST experience of any of them. The staff was amazing and dogs were incredible! I will be bringing all my group trips here in the future!

Exceptional and fun experience from start to finish. The attention to our adventure started as soon as we signed up w/1st Alaska Tours. Attentive to our rookie questions. I received feedback online that recommended dog sledding adventure through 1st Alaska Tours. Our guide Ash was superb. Great story teller and shared his adventures that led to dog sledging. His passion resonated throughout the day. We got to interact with the pups and dogs. 🐶 Each dog has their own personality from shy, excited and loving. Ash will educate you and answered all our questions! Highly recommend this company. It even snowed while out on the trail too. Awesome!

We had such a WONDERFUL TIME with the dog sled ride!! Ash was our van driver and picked us up promptly at our hotel. He filled our ride with fun stories of Alaska and beyond. Then we met the dogs, and took a wonderful sled ride for over 5 miles! Ash took photos & shared them with us afterwards. I would highly recommend this operator for any Fairbanks excursions!

We had an Incredible experience dog sledding- I didn’t expect it to be so exhilarating to be around these magnificent animals- our tour guide Ash Naderhoff said it best- these are the worlds best athletes!

Paul was a PERFECT guide! He talked to us during the van ride out about living in Alaska, Northern Lights and we stopped to get glacier water. After dog mushing, he got us warm beverages and had snacks ready. He brought books and artifacts to see. Perfect guide!

This was a fantastic trip. The guides really know the area and care for their dogs. Matthew was a great guide. He even took pictures for us and a little video so we can remember the names of all of our dogs. They are excited to share their passion of dog sledding and Alaska with others.
