Nous laisserons la ville derrière nous et nous dirigerons vers le lac magique Sun Moon, classé régulièrement comme l'un des endroits les plus pittoresques d'Asie. Le trajet vers Sun Moon Lake, en fonction du trafic, prendra environ 1 à 1,5 heure. À votre arrivée, vous admirerez d'abord la beauté du plus grand lac de Taïwan tout en profitant d'une balade à vélo de 60 minutes le long d'un sentier attribué comme l'une des dix routes cyclistes à couper le souffle par CNN. Le prochain sur la liste est un déjeuner de style taïwanais bien mérité (non inclus dans la citation) avant de monter à bord du lac ferry et d'admirer les eaux du lac et les montagnes environnantes. L'expérience du ferry sera suivie d'une balade à une altitude vertigineuse dans un téléphérique offrant une vue panoramique à 360 degrés sur le lac Sun Moon. Le téléphérique Sun Moon Lake relie Ita Thao au Village de la culture aborigène de Formose. Cela prend environ dix minutes dans chaque sens et couvre une distance d'environ 1 877 mètres (6 158 pieds). Après le téléphérique, vous visiterez le temple Wenwu. Le majestueux temple se trouve à flanc de montagne, au nord du lac Sun Moon, et a été construit en fonction du paysage. Le temple Wenwu est connu pour être le plus grand temple de la région. Le dernier arrêt est le quartier commercial de Yidashao. Au cours d'une visite de 40 minutes, vous pourrez en apprendre davantage sur Taïwan et la culture autochtone taïwanaise et mettre la main sur de beaux arts traditionnels et artisanat. La visite se terminera ici, votre guide vous ramènera à Taichung.

We spent the whole day at the Sun Moon Lake. We rode the cable car ride and took the ferry to other piers. It was great! We really enjoyed it and our tour guide, AXL, offer many locations to visit to make sure that we make the most of our time at the Sun Moon Lake.
We took a Sun Moon Lake tour with our excellent guide Dustin, who shared fascinating history and local insights that made the experience more meaningful. Though the day was foggy and drizzly, it added a peaceful, atmospheric feel to the lake. We visited the Xuanzang Temple, explored scenic trails, and took a boat ride to various piers. Highlights included a beautiful pagoda once visited by Chiang Kai-shek and lunch at Mao Family Restaurant, featuring flavorful Tsou tribal cuisine. Dustin’s pacing, knowledge, and attentiveness made this a truly memorable outing. I highly recommend this tour!
The trip arrangement is beyond considerate. Wonderful and excellent. We tasted the delicious local food. The scenery places are all visited with guide’s detailed explanation of history.
Dustin is a great guide. We visited the temple, the pagoda and of cos, the lake. It was drizzling so it was hazy. Couldn't get much of the view. Dustin brought us to a place for a nice (and not expensive) lunch. The "little town" at Sun Moon Lake is interesting. Make sure to set aside time to explore the place.
Honda was an excellent guide. Picked us up from our hotel on time. He asked about our interests and preferences and then curated the day’s activities accordingly. Sun Moon Lake was a delightful experience especially when sampled on foot, by bike (standard and electric available), ferry and cable car. Honda used recordings of activities to augment specific points of cultural significance as well as share information about street market food options and cold black tea! We even had an opportunity for a photograph with indigenous musicians. Our appreciation for Taiwan’s commitment to respecting the island’s environment and nature’s balance increased as well. We were also impressed with Honda’s readiness for any issues that may get dampened the trip’s experience such as rain (he had ponchos), heat (he had water) or communication (command of English and use of What’s App to track our pick-up location during periods of free time were appreciated. Excellent day trip from Taichung! Note - per the itinerary details you will pay your way to ride bike-ferry-cable car so make sure you have Taiwan currency ($900-$1200 TWD) for these activities and street food for lunch. There were also shopping options which we did not pursue as our interests lied elsewhere. Highly recommend and I would do it against n with the same guide!!
Most tourists go for the boat ride around the lake with a short visit to a temple. It would be more interesting to take the bus that goes around the lake and visit the majestic Wenwu Temple, or cycle around the lake, or do one of the walking trails in order to appreciate the breathtaking scenery.
