The first warning this was a very basic tour was the lockup mini van. The windows were covered with stick on baggy looking mesh shades. The first stop Clifton lake was closed for renovations. The company should have been aware as it had been shut since July 13. We weren’t given any history or background d on our tour unlike other companies.. we originally wanted to go to the Nigilgi Caves but were told it wasn’t possible only to find out the last stop at the Canal Rocks was 4.7km from these caves and we would have had plenty of time to see them. When I asked the guide/driver he said he’d never heard of them. We had plenty of time to visit in our own as the Laje Clifton was a no go and the people on tour didn’t want to stay long at Canal Rocks.. I thought at the chocolate factory or lavender tea house we get a bit of dialogue about or see the making of it’s just a stop and shop. Like I said it’s just a driver . We really were hoping they would deliver but fell very short. The road house stops are just toilet stops not for food. The only real place to eat is Busselton Jetty. We only booked this company as the other company we have done tours with and enjoyed we’re booked out.
You initially booked the cave tour, we rejected your booking due to lack of number after you expressed not to join the chocolate factory tour. Then, not long after, you booked the chocolate factory tour, we confirmed your booking. You should not have booked this tour if you don’t like the itinerary, certainly not only because the tour run by other tour operator was sold out. You didn't want this itinerary in the first place, why go on and ruin our product like this? You didn't even get off the bus to see the canal rock which is a highlight of this tour. You certainly didn’t mention about the chocolate tasting and wine tasting, as you didn’t even participate. You also didn’t order the free drink we offered despite we sent you two messages, your driver kindly arranged it for you otherwise you would have missed it. We don't appreciate your review, cannot agree with your logic either. It’s up to you if you want to bring some snacks, you can also buy some food at the chocolate factory or cape lavender. You can eat anytime, all meals are at your own expense, so not sure why mention food. It looks like you didn’t even bother to read the tour information. It’s not a surprise when you book a tour the day before departure. We arrived back in Perth before 7:30pm, you would have plenty time to enjoy your dinner? You paid for the chocolate factory tour, then you don't ask to go to the cave. Regarding the Lake Cliffton, yes, it's closed due to safety concerns, no, we didn't get a notice. Lake Cliffton is only scheduled for 20 minutes, the cave visiting requires 90 minutes, how it’s possible? We don’t think your review will help anyone, but one good point is made that you don’t seek alternatives from what you truly want, otherwise, you will end up to be very disappointed like this, this is your own fault. You can do self-drive or hire a car with driver, it may cost more, but you will be satisfied. All other cusotmers were very happy with this tour and showed their apprecaiton to the Jon (driver tour guide).
Our tour guide, Jon, was excellent. Safe driver, very open to share information to enhance our trip. He constantly checks in on our safety and wellbeing. The places we visited were stunning too, especially under the perfect weather.
It is a long day, but we'll worth it. Lots of stops along the way. The Margaret River area is such a different landscape. Our driver Jon gave a great commentary. We were a small group, but that made it better.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and were impressed with our tour guide Robert's professionalism. We would like to thank him for his kindness in helping my mother with her leg pain while getting on and off the bus. We will definitely consider taking another tour with use when we visit Perth again. 10/10
The trip was amazing, and we had a wonderful time. Special thanks to Jon, our guide and driver, for taking us to all the locations, capturing our photos, and ensuring we were dropped home safely.
David was a great guide, very informative and did commentary in English and Mandarin. The tour has a lot if travelling but he did a great job to give us interesting stops and knew all if the best places for picture stops. Be prepared for a long day but worth it.
I loved every minute of this tour. Our guide Jon was perfect. He was a safe driver, kind and informative. The van was comfy with all that you need and there are plenty of restroom stops along the way to your destination. The whole tour was very well planned and intentional and every place made sense. Can’t choose a place I loved the most but would say that Busselton Jetty was super fun. It’s a quaint yet lively town and the train ride was a cute touch. We particularly enjoyed fish and chips by the beach at busselton jetty followed by lavender ice cream at cape lavender. Lake Clifton was so beautiful and this trip was so memorable. It’s a must do when you’re in Perth and this was one of, if not my favourite days in my trip to Perth. highly recommend
