Este tour de tirolina / canopy se encuentra en el pintoresco Valle de Elgin, ubicado dentro de la Reserva Natural Hottentots Holland de CapeNature, declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad. El tour cuenta con un sistema de cables y plataformas que permite a los huéspedes explorar este ecosistema anteriormente inaccesible mientras disfrutan de impresionantes vistas. Esta actividad de ecoturismo no solo permite a las personas acceder a las montañas de Capefold en su máxima expresión, sino que también sirve como una plataforma para crear conciencia sobre las hermosas especies de plantas y fauna circundantes.

Situado a poco más de una hora de Ciudad del Cabo, el Cape Canopy Tour está situado en el pintoresco Valle de Elgin, dentro de la Reserva Natural Hottentots Holland de CapeNature, declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad. El recorrido cuenta con once emocionantes toboganes de tirolina, algunos de más de 300 metros. Cada tobogán concluye en una plataforma construida directamente sobre los acantilados y laderas cubiertas de fynbos muy por encima de la garganta de Riviersonderend. Un punto culminante único garantizado como inolvidable es el puente colgante que cruza un estrecho barranco de arenisca, suspendido en lo alto de una espectacular cascada doble. El Cape Canopy Tour es una experiencia de naturaleza totalmente guiada que enfatiza fuertemente la comodidad y seguridad de los huéspedes. Dos facilitadores capacitados acompañarán a cada grupo en el recorrido de 4 a 5 horas. Compartirán información sobre los fynbos endémicos y la fascinante geología de este Patrimonio de la Humanidad único.

- Edad mínima: 5 años. Los niños deben ir acompañados de un adulto. Los niños necesitan poder encajar con seguridad en el arnés de nuestro hijo. Los niños más pequeños/pequeños son llevados en tándem con uno de nuestros guías. NO pueden ir en tándem con sus padres. Desafortunadamente no permitimos bebés, incluso si están en una bolsa de canguro.
- Tándems : Somos capaces de ofrecer 2 tándems por tiempo de recorrido. Para garantizar la seguridad del guía y del cliente, solo podemos ofrecer tándems a los huéspedes que pesen menos de 50 kg. - Política de Embarazo : Las mamás a ser, pedimos disculpas – debido al accidentado viaje en 4x4, este tour no es para ti mientras estás embarazada.
- Peso máximo: 100 - 110 kg. Sugerimos una restricción de peso por persona de aproximadamente 100 kg a 110 kg – esta restricción no está relacionada con el peso, sino que se impone por el tamaño de los arneses que utilizamos y se basa en la circunferencia de las correas alrededor del cuerpo.
- Nivel de aptitud: Moderado.Se trata de una actividad de aventura, y recomendamos un nivel razonable de condición física : tendrá que caminar durante 1 km arriba y fuera de la montaña después del recorrido. Se requiere un nivel moderado de condición física, así como la fuerza de la parte superior del cuerpo y el núcleo, para participar de forma segura en esta actividad.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The boys were the perfect hosts. We went up in heavy cloud, so thick it was pretty much rain - take a waterproof incase and also, it can be cold at the top. Tour starts with a long 4x4 up hair-raising tracks to the top of the mountain then a short hike to the wires. Take sturdy shoes. I suffer from vertigo so this was a huge challenge but the boys were brilliant and completely put me at ease to trust them. It did help that the weather was so awful that we couldn’t see the drop below but shooting into the fog with no sight on the end was scary but quite fantastic. After a whipping crossing (tied on) over the suspension bridge I think I might have kicked the vertigo !!!! What a fabulous and truly fun morning. Thank you !

I wish I could have done this twice. The guides are very good and personable. I was nervous on the first two, but they made me feel safe. I was wearing camera glasses but they didn't work. thankfully, the guides bring a GoPro with them. I just wish I hadn't had to tinkle the entire time.
Was an amazing experience. our guides, lead by Adrian really knew what they were doing and he helped me, whom has an extreme fear of heights, conquer this fear and really enjoy the activities.(even when I initially refused to jump of the first landing he had a lot of patience with me and calmed me until I had the nerve to take that first step) I can recommend this any day!
