Estás flotando a través del lugar de nacimiento del mundo industrial, un valle fluvial que una vez impulsó más máquinas que en cualquier otro lugar de la tierra. En el siglo XVI, este tramo del Zaan recorría más de 1.000 molinos de viento que suministraban madera, especias, pintura y aceite de ballena a todo el mundo. Es el lugar donde se inventó el mundo moderno. Durante su crucero de 25 minutos verá : Los 10 molinos de viento de la UNESCO de Zaanse Schans, vistos desde el agua más cerca de lo que cualquier camino te ofrece. Las primeras fábricas industriales de cacao y chocolate del mundo, todavía en pie en la orilla del río. Las instalaciones de caza de ballenas que una vez hicieron de esta región la capital petrolera de Europa. Casas Zaanse tradicionales y las casas de té donde los comerciantes comerciaban con productos de todo el imperio Holandés. Y algunas sorpresas que tu guía ha guardado para el agua. I absolutely loved doing this boat ride we had Rick as our skipper he was amazing giving us information about the area and windmills. Absolutely stunningly beautiful place it’s a MUST see if visiting Amsterdam thankyou so much
Such a fantastic way to view 10 windmills on a 25 minute boat cruise, enjoy an authentic Stroopwaffle and a drink and hear all about the windmills and the UNESCO houses in this picturesque setting. Andre was a perfect guide and we loved every minute. Only 25 minutes by bus or train from Amsterdam central.
Very good explanation from guide Dirk. Stays still with boat for sight where he can give a somewhat larger explanation. Because of the different nationalities, the explanation was in English. People are waiting for visitors who want to sail last minute.
Fantastic day Andre the captain was very friendly and helpful. He took his time and was very knowledgeable about the windmills the area and all the history. Nothing was rushed he answered everyone's questions. I highly recommend this tour for everyone

We loved this boat trip and the warm welcome from Anna and the interesting tour commentary by Kevin. Unfortunately the bottle of cava we reserved with the booking for a birthday celebration was not available so we had rosé instead which was a bit of a shame, but the staff couldn’t have been any friendlier and we really enjoyed the boat trip. We were blessed with sunshine and it was a beautiful way to enjoy the windmills of Zaandam from the water and learn a bit about the history of this stunning place.
Yesterday we took Andre for a spin. Friendly man who explained everything nicely and clearly. Boat was beautiful. The length of the trip is just right, not too short or too long. Good value for money!
Very informative tour, so much better than reading from a guide book. George was an excellent skipper and a knowledgeable humorous guide.
The tour was in English with George a nice guide from the region. The tour takes about 30 minutes as described. It smells like cocoa everywhere, which is really a great smell on the nose. However, it was very crowded, so I would always recommend a reservation of the boat tour.
