Recorrido a pie por York, incluida York Minster

We came.up from.Nottingham for a day in York. The city is so beautiful & so historical. So very many historical sights to see. We really enjoyed the day. The minster us amazing.

Amazing tour with Emily. The tour was very interesting and informative. Emily was a wonderful guide, extremely friendly, kind and knowledgeable. I learned a lot about York. I was lucky enough to be the only person on the tour, so it was very personalised. I would highly recommend this tour!

This is such a beautiful building. If you spend a for whole week just looking around, you still would n't see all of it.

Our tour guide, Caroline, was very knowledgeable regarding the history of York and the best places to visit on this short walking tour. She also gave us great recommendations for places to visit on our own after the tour and good places to eat.

The tour was great, we learned so much and our guide was terrific! We kept moving so there wasn’t a lot of time to stop and take pictures but we covered a lot of ground and we’re glad to see everything we did. York Minster was also great. Buying tickets with the tour allowed us to bypass a very long line, totally worth it.

Hello, In general it was a very good tour, informative and well presented by our guide. One of the things worth mentioning is that the entry to York Minster is after the tour, on your own, it is not in the 2h time spot, we didn't know that. I have also seen that many people are asking if the tour is wheelchair friendly, now, it depends. I had my disabled daughter with me, but she can walk too, although needs her special pushchair for longer walks. In general it is ok, although some wheelchair users might find it difficult to move on the bumpy streets on York which can be narrow and crowded too. We had to move through the crowd and look for our guide, for disabled people that might be a bit hard, even when they are pushed by someone. The next thing is the tour goes a bit through the Yorkshire Wall, which it is not accessible by wheelchair. Our guide forgot to tell us about it and we left the pushchair in front of the entry and walked all the way to our stop point, where she asked Where did you leave your pushchair? if we said at the entry, she said we are not going back that way :| So we left our group, picked the pushchair and met everybody in the next meeting point, which wasn't difficult to find. In general, that was actually the only point of the tour which wasn't wheelchair friendly. You also have to pay attention where is your next meeting point and better write down the names if you have to split from the group for a moment as you might easily get lost if you don't know York. Our guide was able to call us on the phone to find out where we are. We didn't have any problems with finding the way, but it can be challenging. There is also no parking next to York Minster where the meeting point of the tour is close by, so my husband was late almost an hour for the tour as he had to find the place to park and then join us on the way - the tip for those not from York. The tour itself, I would recommend. I hope you will find this review helpful :)

The York tour was amazing. Our tour guide, Simon, was very informative and friendly. We were also lucky enough to have him to ourselves! It was definitely a 5 star experience and would recommend to anyone visiting York, especially if it’s your first time visiting. It helped us find our feet around the area, learn about the history of York without it feeling like a year 11 history lesson but Simon also recommended other places to visit and bars/restaurants worth going to. Big thanks to Simon, keep doing what you’re doing!!
