Este tour consiste en visitas guiadas a un Templo Maya y una Cueva. Todo en un día completo de aventura. Visitamos el hermoso Templo Maya de Xunantunich y después del almuerzo nos dirigimos a la Reserva Arqueológica Noh Hoch Chen, donde nos embarcaremos en nuestra aventura de Cave Tubing. Este tour combinado comienza a las 8:00 a. m. O a las 10:00 a. m.

Itinerario
San José Succotz es un pueblo maya en el distrito de Cayo de Belice, compuesto principalmente por personas de ascendencia maya yucateca. Se encuentra aproximadamente a 10 minutos al oeste del pueblo de San Ignacio. El templo maya de Xunantunich se encuentra en este pueblo. Conduciremos hasta el pueblo donde abordaremos el ferry con manivela y cruzaremos el río Mopan para acceder al sitio maya.
Aquí se encontrará inmerso en un entorno selvático virgen, hogar de monos aulladores, monos araña, aves e iguanas. Mientras explora junto con su guía, aprenderá sobre la historia de este sitio y la civilización maya que una vez lo habitó. Haremos una pausa para almorzar en un restaurante del pueblo antes de dirigirnos al sitio de Cave Tubing.
Aprenda sobre la flora y la fauna local a lo largo de una caminata de 30 minutos a lo largo de la orilla de los ríos mientras nos dirigimos a la entrada de la Cueva Garra de Jaguar. Esta maravilla natural fue excavada en las estribaciones de piedra caliza de las Montañas Mayas por el río que las atraviesa y forma parte del sistema de cuevas más grande de toda América Central. La investigación arqueológica señala que los antiguos mayas visitaron el sitio para realizar importantes rituales. The activities were amazing and the guide was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. One thing I didn’t realize was that there was a long drive between the archaeological site and the cave tubing and then back to San Ignacio, so a fairly large portion of the day was spent in the car. However, I enjoyed the drive and seeing the towns and countryside. Overall, I think the trip was worth the money, and I recommend it!
Cave tubing was awesome! Our guide was Pedro he was nice, very knowledgeable and took pictures for us.

Absolutely amazing experience! We booked directly with Reuben at the hotel who made the whole process seamless and made sure we were prepared for the day. The Xunantunich Ruins and cave tubing tour was the highlight of our Belize trip. We had the most amazing time visiting both the ruins and the cave tubing adventure. We had 2 adults and 3 kids ages 13,11, and 9. The kids really enjoyed the entire day and we would highly recommend booking this company!!!

We had a wonderful time during the whole trip. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable on anything from the local agriculture to the Mayan Ruins, the underground river caves and more. We booked a stay with Cayo at Terry’s place. When we asked Terry about tour and experience options she said she had guides and shuttle drivers. We were a little worried about using the same company for everything but took a chance. We are VERY HAPPY that we used Cayo Inland Tours for all our local needs. We took 3 shuttles and 2 tours with them and all were great experiences. Wayne was our shuttle driver for all three trips. (Airport in Belize City to San Ignacio, San Ignacio to Placencia, and Placencia to Belize City). Wayne made us feel at home and was very informative as well as accommodating. He stopped for lunch and snacks and on the last shuttle he even brought us home made banana cake. We learned a lot about Belize from Wayne. He is the kind of guy that is always laughing and smiling. Dimas was our guide for Mayan ruins, zip lining and cave/river tubing. All three stops were great and exceeded our expectations. Dimas was knowledgeable about the ruins, the jungle and the cave. Pedro was our guide to Big Rock Waterfall. Again this trip exceeded our expectations and Pedro had a lot to do with making the trip so great. He showed us how to get behind the waterfalls and helped our kids safely do some cliff jumping. All three drivers/guides were long time Cayo employees with around 30 years combined. All three were proud of Belize and seemed to enjoy sharing the history and beauty of their country. We would advise anyone coming to San Ignacio to consider Cayo Inland Adventures and hope you are lucky enough to get Wayne as a driver or Dimas and Pedro as guides.

My wife and I truly had an amazing experience on this tour esp because of Bern, who made the entire trip so memorable. We will definitely recommend this tour to our friends and family. Bern was not only professional but he also went far above and beyond our expectations. He arrived 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled pickup time, welcomed us with a warm smile, introduced himself and gave us a detailed overview of the tour for the day. We hopped into his very clean vehicle and made our way to Xunantunich. Throughout our visit, we never felt rushed. Bern was very informative, patient and made the experience enjoyable and relaxing. On our way to the cave tubing adventure, we stopped for lunch, which was a nice addition to the day. The cave tubing experience itself was unforgettable. Inside the dark cave, we even got off our tubes to see the pottery left behind by the Mayans, which was truly incredible and made the experience even more special. Throughout the entire tour Bern consistently provided us with water, fresh towels and a friendly smile. We highly recommend this tour and we hope you get Bern as your tour guide because he truly made the experience exceptional.
