Itinerario
Caminaremos hacia la plaza del mercado, donde verá los dos primeros lugares destacados, el Falkenhaus, una posada construida en el siglo XVIII. Con una preciosa fachada rococó. Justo al norte del mercado se encuentra el Marienkapele (la Capilla de María) con su arquitectura gótica bien conservada y hermosas estatuas hechas por el famoso escultor alemán Tilman Riemenschneider. Es un corto paseo desde allí hasta el ayuntamiento y la gran fuente barroca, el "Vierröhrenbrunnen". Desde este punto, cruzaremos el antiguo puente sobre el río principal, que también es una excelente oportunidad para tomar fotografías. (Opcional en este tour es la Fortaleza Marienberg al otro lado del río, a la que se puede acceder en transporte público oa pie. Se trata de una caminata de 20 minutos hasta la fortaleza, si prefiere caminar, y desde allí tendrá una vista espectacular de Main El valle del río y la ciudad. En el camino hacia abajo, cruzando el puente, nos dirigimos hacia la Residencia, un gran palacio barroco de la ciudad. Situado debajo de la Residencia, se encuentra Staatlicher Hofkeller. La antigua bodega de vinos de la corte real que ofrece algunos de Los mejores vinos de la región, un comercio por el que esta ciudad es famosa.

Elizabeth was excellent. Very knowledgeable, good communication, answered all questions, highly recommend.
Since we unfortunately had 2 hours train delay we could not use the full 2 hours of the tour. Nevertheless, Ms Nickel took a little longer to show us some of Würzburg. It was more like share a drink. No AH moment even from a distance along river banks. There was a spot I saw clamped of locked keys.

Stefanie was fantastic. We have traveled to a lot of countries with various guides and she was by far the best. She enjoys people and has guided for over 20 years. It showed. She provided in detail background history of the famous sights. We had great conversation throughout the tour. She knew what would be open, such as cathedrals etc. She packed a lot in; 3 hours worth of content in 2 hours. She made the best use of our time. It was truly an enjoyable experience. Our guide, Stefanie A, was the BEST walking tour guide I've EVER had. She is classy, well-spoken and eloquent and a beautiful story teller! I could listen to hear speak all day. I was traveling with a group of 12 students from a community college in Texas and met my German exchange student in Würzburg with his family who speak limited English, but because of her slow, clear and beautiful communication, they were able to understand most of the tour in English! She is so regal and such a joy and I feel so blessed we got to have her twice (part one on our arrival day in Würzburg, and then again on Sunday, December 15th. Thank you for such a wonderful tour, Stefanie, and for helping me pick the perfect wine in the Residenz Gift Shop! I shared it with friends when I got home to Texas and it was delicious!
